They also set health and safety standards for food processing plants and shut them down if they do not comply but you placed those in private outbreaks.

There are food safety standards they must comply with yes, and the CFIA is around.

But they are not funded by the government or have any additional health and safety burden then anyone else for their employees or guests. Unlike social housing and long term care homes which have always had significant regulations around health.

If you can't understand the difference between being publically funded and regulated, and being a private business. I can't help you.

Sorry dude I'm a Nascar fan. (as if)

I just got my approval to travel into NB in early July. (you have to register online)

I have turned down 2 gigs in eastern Canada, and will continue to do so unless they get rid of the rule where if you test positive upon arrival, you're confined to the hotel for 2 weeks. Uhh, no thank you. I would not survive that.

FWIW I may have become a statistic. Today is two weeks after my second PFIZER injection. Yesterday I was at Trillium Health being treated for a blood clot in my right lung. During the session the doctor asked if I had any injuries etc that might have caused the clot. The subject of vaccines never came up. I'll be on blood thinners for a few weeks and then more tests. I'm not feeling nearly that bad today.

As far as treatment goes, after I had one anti inflammatory pill and one pain killer I was feeling a lot better. If it hadn't been worse earlier I might have skipped going to ER. I wonder how many others would have just shaken it off and never became a statistic.

Hope all goes well for you mate. I thought the Astrazeneca was the one that was causing the clots and not Pfizer?

AZ made headlines (I think that was a big pharma smear campaign primarily). All vaccines have risks and side effects in some people.

1 in 1,000 people develop a blood clot every year.

1 in 5,000 people develop a blood clot after taking a >4 hour flight.

6 in 10,000 women taking birth control will develop blood clots.

4 in 1,000,000 AZ shots were "linked" to blood clots.

Blood clots are so common, that blaming a vaccine for it is really insanity. NACI is up and arms about it in because it suits Trudeau's procurement blunders. While Europe wants AZ to provide even more doses and sued them over it.

Remember now that we can't get enough Pfizer, mixing and matching is "safe and effective" due to a couple of two bit medical trials. While the rest of the world including the CDC says not to.

COVID-19 vaccines are not interchangeable. If you received a Pfizer-BioNTech or Moderna COVID-19 vaccine, you should get the same product for your second shot.

Sorry to hear that Nobbie and I hope you recover quickly. If you don’t mind me asking what were the symptoms that showed up that led to this diagnosis?

It's a long story. I started Canada Day feeling that my wife had kicked me in the ribs overnight but the pain was internal. Eventually it got serious with breathing getting painful and deep breathing extremely so. Late in the evening she drove me to the hospital. It was kind of cool as fireworks were going off on both sides of us on the Queensway. An impressive arrival.

Blood and urine tests followed by a CAT scan originally indicated an inflamed kidney so meds were prescribed for that and off we went for drugs. A pain killer and an anti inflammatory went with an early breakfast. Then I got a call from the hospital asking me to return for another scan as a doctor had noticed something about my lung. The second scan showed a clot and meds adjusted. No fireworks on departure.

By that time the pain has subsided from 8/10 to 2/10. I tend to ride out 2/10 pains and if it had never gotten to the 8/10 I wouldn't have known about the clot. I wonder how many people also ride out minor pains, thus missing data.

I'm fine now other than the deep inhalation part.

I had pulmonary embolism a half dozen years ago but the pains worked up to a more acute level and I got an ambulance ride but no fireworks.

So I kinda put the searching for 2nd dose to the side, until today when my mom bugged me again. Checked out the email the Gov sent me and clicked a date and it Freekin worked! Got something booked for the 19th!

Time to start planning road trips.

First will be to NS to see family now that i will not have to isolate.

Second will be the James Bay bike run

If you draw a line straight south from Pelee Island, to latitude 28,
you find the fine city of Sarasota FL, where I live. I have lived many years
in Toronto and visit it approximately every year, but not 2020 nor 2021.

Pelee Island vs. the GTA is a bit of a stretch, but ok.
