That's a middle ground that needs to be a personal choice. Public messaging of who is at risk of severe illness and death could have made it clear to people to make an informed choice.

Those that want to can work from home, order grocery delivery, and self isolate all they want.

Those who want to go outside, and still somewhat enjoy life should be able to do so.
not sure that holds water.

And do you feel it’s fair that these people who wish to enjoy life are now putting this burden on their families, our health resources, etc?

Our health resources have been strained by the "those at risk" category. A statistically insignificant amount of presumably healthy people have landed in hospitals.

45 mins on the website waiting in line to rebook my second dose….get in..enter info…“no appointments available thank you for your patience”.

**** show.

Sigh.

Hey try to keep refreshing! I'm in the same boat
There seems to be availability popping up every couple minutes or so but the times are being snatched up quick

I note you didn’t answer the question. But it’s okay, I can tell what side of the fence you’re on. I’ll continue to wave from the other side.

Got in from the local health unit website. Overly complex though still. Took about 3h total to get everything booked. I should be double jabbed on Wednesday!

Our health resources have been strained at the root cause by selfish people not taking this issue seriously. Many of the people in hospital have been the recipients of that selfish behaviour.

Because it's a hypothetical that isn't real.

As for what side of the fence, you are probably wrong. I just want reasonable levels of freedoms relative to risk.

If all risk in life is to be eliminated, because of the imaginary burden to society, then we should turn in our motorcycle licenses among other things.

Don't run with scissors. Don't ride motorcycles. Start with that Dimitri.

That's how people are acting over COVID. The idea of calculated risk is out the window when it bothers them and the action doesn't effect their lives.

We are a society of Karens.
No we are not. We are doing a LOT of calculating and progressing quite well. And you are part of it, whether you like it or not.

Sure I am.

The problem with calculated risk is that there’s a lot of stupid people doing the calculating thinking that they are correct. That’s why many countries are either in the mess they are in, or recovering from it.

Totally correct. There needs to be guidelines based on age and health based risk factors being considered to give people a choice.

I am in the southern part of GTA, at latitude 28 to be precise

Huh? The lowest latitude in Canada is Middle Island in Lake Erie at 41.7°. The lowest in the GTA at 43.3°.
