I'm not a fan of soccer, and women's soccer is painful to watch as most of the time it's fairly slow, but this is one game I was gonna watch if I hadn't been at work... It's a big deal.
Have to admit tho that some of the players in the team are hot. with no makeup on n all sweaty n still look hot? Aint easy.

Ya it seems of late a lot of whining is happening. If your whining cuz you lost 1st place is one thing ...but crying over 3rd is getting lame. Were the bronze nation of the Olympics.
The US vs Canada game was excellent in womens soccer. If you want every game to be men's Germany vs Brazil...well that's a bit much. Hockey can be good even if it aint NHL calibre.

He does VERY WELL for himself.
Kazakhstan and North Korea have more gold medals than Canada, they must be getting all sorts of funding.

They allocate large sums of money towards world events to make themselves look good.
China does the same. It's Gold or nothing for them.
Thats personal sponsorship gained after the fact. We're talking state funding of athletes.

But then again, you don't require much state funding as a runner.
I still do understand that they were probably not well funded. The Jamaicans did great on the track!

I dont have numbers and stats or anything but what i heard is that canadian atheletes are under funded, and the program is not as good comparing to the states. A friend of mine used to have an olympian as his neighbor and that guy didnt get much funding. He lives pretty tight given that he can only work part time (a teller at TD) cuz he needs time for training. And the government is not funding much.
Would you mind clarifying why do you think that?
