Did you exercise today?

One of my new resolutions is to stretch daily for a minimum of 5min....

Followed this today...sweet baby Jesus I'm not flexible at all....

My pain started at the 3:16 mark...at the 4:20 mark I fell over as I can't even get down to a 45deg level...let alone flat on the floor.

But every journey starts with a single step.

The best times always occur at 4:20.

Turns out I have a common problem, some people call it runners knee etc...but my right leg is weaker than my left leg, so I have to do lots more unilateral exercises to get my right leg strength up...starting with Hungarian split squats and single leg deadlifts...

Squeeze and I are on matching CCM stationary bikes from the 70s. (I think they're from the 70ss based on their cool orange and brown colour schem) $15 garage sale specials. I don't either one has a working timer any more but we just go by kilometers.
A basic kitchen timer would be a easy fix.

Good day today...after the feasting yesterday (1.5 beers only)...just lots and lots of good food.

Back to chest and triceps today.

Was about to go for a walk but then -10C turned me off that. Tried the mini treadmill I have and did a good 20min. Trying to figure it out because it's got sensors which speed up, or slow down, the belt depending on where you step.

If you're off from the sweet spot by a few inches it'll start slowing or speeding up...annoying but doable.

Wish I had a remote for it though! Also looking to see if I can elevate one side for a bit of an incline.

impromptu and forced workout...took the wrong bus back home.

the sun was in my eyes and the glare was making it impossible to read the bus sign..but my actual bus had just left the previous checkpoint as per the app so i thought i was getting on it.

anyways it turned into an impromptu run of 2.5k in my boots and my work attire (minus my jacket) with my backpack on
i dont know how i did it the previous years, running everyday during winter. but hey i ran.

edit) cant spell

I'm finding that my muscles have tightened up so much, or I'm so out of shape that I can barely move my arms backwards, shoulders hurt, etc.

Need to focus more on stretching, there's another New Year's resolution...and stop eating as much. Even my wife commented as to 'wtf...you're getting fat'.

Just ran through all my benefits in December for massages for end of year. Didn't help much.

Need to get more involved in stretching because this is not a good sign of things to come.

Yesterday was upper body, did some inclined benches, some bent over barbell rows, as well as some good ol fashioned bicep curls

I do find though with the barbell rows, they put a fair bit of strain on your back, so I might start looking for alternatives to replace them.

Today is leg day, so more Hungarian split squats and single leg deadlifts.

Check your form.. are you "cheating".. or moving around the hip/lower back area while doing your reps?

I believe you mean Bulgarian. But they are great and awful at the same time 😅
