Did you exercise today?

My wife bought one of those where you power it yourself (no motor). Been sitting in the basement for a year..if anyones interested i can get you the details. Getting her to post it for sale is like pulling teeth...pick your battles..
I have a good friend who frequents Value Village and the used market.

I just give him a shopping list and if he happens to stumble across an item…bonus for me.

I should give him a lat tower onto the list.
 
Switched to the winter bike this morning. A heavy downhill POS but plows through the light snow with studded tire (matches the rider :ROFLMAO: ).
Made easy work of the thin layer of ice. It was nice to have full suspension on the bumps (can lock them out, so have them on max stiffness for less pogo stick).
 
Found one of these online...I like it and it looks like it would do the trick for my setup. I don't have holes on the side of the rack so would probably need to drill some to mate it on the uprights.


EDIT: Curious where the brain trust here buys their bearings? This would make for a nice project over winter.

Knocked out some good sets pre and during lunch. Back to 194lbs x 3 x 12 on the squat. Picked up to 134x3x12 on the deadlift.

Let's see how the back feels tomorrow.

But I had 4 cupcakes at lunch...damn MIL just made a fresh batch...

Yesterday was leg day so did some leg presses and tried out some bulgarian split squats, VERY NICE! Great for strengthening and fixing any imbalances etc
 
Yesterday did more core work
 
I'm about to pick up a TRX suspension trainer as I'd like to try it out. Figure for $50 it's worth a shot to complement my weight lifting.
 
Nice solid workout at lunch today.

Squat - 204lb x 3 x 12
Deadlift - 144lbs x 3 x 12

Felt good. Let’s see what tomorrow brings.

Also spent $150 on some accessory items for my squat rack.

Will be selling my Olympic weight rack soon as I’m trying to find space for the lat pulldown I’ve got in mind, as well as a barbell holder for the wall.
 
Great workout at lunch today. Fueled by anger at BMO treating my dad's mortgage horribly and preparing for a fight this evening with BMO. Grrrrrr

Also fine tuning my home gym a bit to make it more functional...so we'll see how it goes!
 
I read somewhere that daily exercise can prolong your life by 3 years, but you spend those 3 years exercising...so where is the gain?

My own study - take 2 metal rods, put one dry on the couch, moist (sweat) the other one and keep bending and straightening it, just like your knees during exercise. Then tell me one month later which rod is rust free and in better shape (one piece)...
