Want to start shooting, anyone care to get me started?

If you buy "used" you don't have to lose a penny. Buying/selling on CGN is basically free.

And those guns are like bikes on GTAM Classifieds... A "cleaned up gun with 'only 200 rounds through it'" sells for more than MRSP ;)

I can easily tell the difference between a gun with 10k down the pipe and a few boxes of ammo through it. I've owned a number of new guns which I only took shooting once or twice, and sold them off with only 100-200 rounds fired.

Generally the used prices for these "as new" guns are 10-20% down from new.... but you're right, there are definitely dreamers over there too.

^^ Yea, my eyes are rolling constantly while in the Equip Echange section, although you do come across good prices once in a while, but u gotta be quick! Thats where i got the 597 VTR, the AR-7 and the M48. Some things though are just not worth it. Remington Express 870, $320 at Lebaron and other places, ppl want 350+ for their clapped out shotties....worse of all the Norinco HP9, which is a clone of the 870 goes for more than the original....GMAFB.

Considering the quality of the latest batch of Remington's 870s... I think I'd almost rather have the HP9.

I find most CGN exchange prices to be reasonable, considering most of the guns are barely used.

SX3 pretty nice gun... but fastest shotgun, meh

All modern semis are as fast as you can pull the trigger.

Ok, what should i buy. looking for a shotgun and crossbow for hunting. then what do I get for a starter hand gun?

Hunting what?

You can get cheapie Mossberg or Remington 'combo' shotguns that come with 3 barrels, chokes, etc. They're versatile to start with.

As for handgun... go to a shop and feel em up. Buy whatever feels good. I'd start with 9mm, it goes bang hard enough to feel like a real gun, without being horribly expensive or difficult to shoot.

Zombies ofc.
Why waste rounds on zombies.. just get some shovels and build a giant moat filled with deadly things.

I got the 3 barrel combo remington from lebarons....i use the 26" vented rib to trap shoot and 20" barrel is always on while at home with 00 buckshot next to it. I havent found a use for the ribbed barrel yet. the friggin sabbot rounds for that thing are eeeexpeeensive!

heres some gun porn for ya, thats my buddy in my gun "safe"

Zombies only die from a shot or an impact to the head/brain. Also always double tap.
Nah, you got it all wrong.
You shouldn't need to double tap. You should always be certain that your first shot took care of it. If you have any doubts, hand the gun over to someone more experienced ;)
