No. It means you can come back July 5 without quarantining. US has said border is closed until at least July 21.@jc100 so does this mean we can go to the US? it's very confusing...I'm guessing not yet...

Rules for thee but not for me?While they’re whining at us about not opening our border. Typical.
I don't know about sloan, But i don't think i would say the doctors quoting in the video are clownstoo easy…
Sloan is a clown.

Others jumped on the vax train as soon as there were rumours of lifted restrictions for fully vaxxed people.
I should have put closed in quotation marks. It is as closed as it ever was but that has never really been closed. If you had lots of money, it was wide open. If you had some money, it was reasonably open. If you were poor, too bad for you. They say that, but I know a dozen people who went to vacation in Florida and Hawaii this past winter/spring.
So is it really closed when all you need to do is drive to Buffalo for your flight?
But isn’t the risk of catching COVID, or transmitting it, MUCH smaller than when you’re unvaccinated? And that is why they are doing it. To get people vaccinated. You can still get and transmit COVID once you are vaccinated, more so with the variants. So easing restrictions makes close to zero sense medically.
Risk of being symptomatic is drastically reduced. Preliminary research says risk of transmission is lower but finalized large studies are not yet complete. Based on apparent reduction in spread in highly vaccinated countries, it is likely that vaccine is reducing the risk of "catching" covid as opposed to allowing you to catch it (and spread it) but you are asymptomatic. But isn’t the risk of catching COVID, or transmitting it, MUCH smaller than when you’re unvaccinated?
Some friends have indicated they're never getting the shot as they're not believes of the short turnaround time. They'd prefer to pay for the quarantine hotel.
I agree with everything you said up until sticking with AZ.AZ only…no wait you can mix….no wait you shouldn’t mix….wait they’re identical….we prefer this….or maybe that….
Like eff….the message changes each time the supply changes. Frustrating as F. I’m sticking with AZ.
Back to Brian P's analysis (it was for shot 1 but I think reasonably applies to shot 2) is if you can get AZ tomorrow but have to wait weeks for MRNA, you are probably better with AZ. A single shot of AZ is not very effective against Delta.Agreed @PrivatePilot the messaging is ‘take the first one you can’ but ‘we prefer you take mRNA’ …
so do I wait? Or do I jab AZ tomorrow into me at 12:00?
All I want is CONSISTENT messaging. Nothing more.
