Trying something new

I went for full bling on my frame, I wet sanded and then polished my frame on the yzf. It's like a mirror when it's polished. Looks awesome in the sun, get lots of comments at the track about it, most people can't believe I took the time to o it... But I'm sure you's looks cool too.

I polished almost every piece possible on my 01 R6 back in the day, back then I use to polish everything...Nowadays I just cant keep up with the maintenance with polished parts...I only polish stuff before anodizing it now

When is the unveiling of this bad boy? Can't wait to see it. Are you going to Drumbo this weekend or Shannonville June 16/17?

Whenever these stupid Italian wheels show up Im going to ride it, but Id like to take some time to get familiar with the bike and new style of riding before I attend any track events...Hopefully by mid summer I will be confident enough to do some track days on it....Im going to start looking at my options for track days....

Another piece of candy delivered today

Tony from BSR hooked it up, master was back ordered with Yoyodyne with no ETA, so he got me one from another supplier...Didnt have a short lever like I wanted but Im going to order one to replace the super long one today...Now I can at least mock up the front brake and order Speigler lines...

I've got a custom shorty billet folding lever that Ryan made for me if you want it John,

It was made for that specific MC.

Are you getting graphics for it? If so reach out to Kipp @ Nine one Nine designs. He is a sponsor of Supermoto Ontario. Full custom kit for $199.99 and SMO members get a 10% discount.

I've bought a couple set from him over the years and they hold up awesome.

Wasn't planning on it, I like the OEM look as far as plastics and decals go...I'll keep them in mind thou, if I decide to do it

Mounted the master, with a small Brembo res, ladybird res mount, and some clear hose....Mocked up the front brake and sent the stock lines to Speigler to make me a set of lines in white with black fittings...

JohnnyP636 - Supermoto Ontario would like to put your bike on display next January at the Supermoto Ontario booth. This thing is going to look awesome. Just sayin.

We'll have to talk closer to the show :)

Are you sure you don't want my beautiful and rare stock 2009 DRZ? Think about it .... LOL

If the bike is still in one piece sure

Well looks like the "want" a short lever is actually a "need" a short lever.....There is no way these Cryca hand guards will fit with the long lever, I had to move the master closer to the outside and also space out the triple mount for the hand guard bracket. Also had to tweak the bend to fit properly....

Wicked build dude. I'm starting to get an idea as to the extent that you skimp on your rides....lol

Most people end up fine tuning the bends. It's kind of normal. Mine fit a long lever without issues, but I certainly don't have your master ...

You get this finished yet?

Here are some of the little finishing touches Ive been working on

I got the Brembo short lever, and milled a slot in the end
