I always clear the snow off the tail lights, but for some reason completely forget about the licence plate.Don't forget about the snow buildup on the back of vehicles while they're driving. Sometimes the rear lights and license plate are fully obscured.
Too easy to get caught with that and they don't play around. 407 pays OPP to be their enforcers. If you are intentionally dodging tolls, they hit you with everything they can. If you wanted to get fancy, put a degausser behind the plate and if you get lit up, press the button to drop the leaves. The odds that the cop looks around in a live lane for a magnetic leaf is very low.
Looks like the driver ordered fries with that. Some of the charges are effectively duplicates and will go away, but he's still got issues. He tried a ghetto version of the Michael Bryant defense. It worked poorly for him.

It's already puked, she isn't driving it away (or at least not very far). Might as well let the tow truck recover it (and if they are feeling competent they can lift it off the rock instead of dragging it off).Lift with you legs...not the back!
I had much the same thing happen to me, more than 25 years ago now, though the conditions were somewhat different. We had just had an ice storm, followed by rain, and I was working in a computer manufacturing company. I always parked around the back. When I got to work I was careful to do no more than maybe 10 Kmh, along the side of the building, to park in back. When I got to the back I turned to head towards where I usually parked. OK, the wheels turned. The car kept going straight at 10 Kmh. I saw the raised concrete curb going up in slow motion so squared up the wheels and hoped. The front two wheels hit the curb and popped right over, high centring the car. Took a tow truck, on the other side of the curb, to lift my car back off again. Virtually no damage.Lift with you legs...not the back!
Similar thing happened to me in Iceland actually. Long story short I took a run at some ice in a little vw golf-like car and we got one axel stuck, wheels spinning. Tried to dig out and even used the metal jack to chip away for hours, no dice. Called a tow truck, he hooked the rear axel and pulled me 20ft down the road. $750 USD.I had much the same thing happen to me, more than 25 years ago now, though the conditions were somewhat different. I somehow doubt that the 80 YO's reflexes were up to doing almost double the limit on 37.Old feller in a Jeep got pinched.

In a jeep wrangler. They handle poorly at the best of times. I am wondering if they still have the limiter at ~100 mph and that's what was setting his speed.I somehow doubt that the 80 YO's reflexes were up to doing almost double the limit on 37.
Sounds about right. Fortunately most of the corners on 37 are sweepers, so he didn't end up in a grove of trees somewhere. Or someone's front yard.In a jeep wrangler. I would be pretty surprised if he was carrying that speed in the corners. My guess is he unloaded in a straight and didn't see the cop. We can see one pixel of red on the left side of mode so cop was going in the opposite direction. Hard to process the bullbar in time when you are closing at 240.Sounds about right.
