The Bad Drivers of Ontario Thread

Here's a wtf I saw in Scarborough on Saturday:View attachment 73429
Unfortunately, all too common. I got nailed like that, pre-Covid, when someone made a right turn from the left lane, on Yonge northbound at Queen, at something like 5:00am. That's a "no turning" intersection. He also tried to take off until he saw that my car wasn't disabled, and I was following. Caught him at Shuter. He then tried to argue fault, until I pointed to my dashcam.

"Have awareness of the vehicles around you". Damn. That's a big ask. I suspect that a minority of drivers have any bleeping clue about what is around them.
If you ever get a chance to sit in the driver's seat of a 1961 Impala bubble top, compare the visibility of it to a modern SUV.

The Impala has very slender A pillars and rear pillars. The two-door hard top has no B pillars. There are no head rests or heavy tints. The exterior rear-view mirrors are small. It might have an AM radio but no phone, mobile office, cup holder or lunch counter.

Add to that, in 1961 there were no E-bikes, hover boards, e-scooters, Segways or cell phone texting pedestri-zombies.

I almost saw someone on one of those stupid single-wheelers get taken out, in SEATAC, when he jumped the gun on an advanced turn signal. Pity I didn't get it on my travel dashcam.

Do they have ABS or does slamming on the brakes equate to slamming one's face into the pavement?

The stoppie / endo relationship is largely dictated by the wheelbase. A unicycle has a wheelbase of zero.

I doubt they have anything of the sort. In fact I would be more than a little surprised if they have anything approaching brakes. It looked sort of like this:
