Is @Lightcycle baller enough yet to bring MVA under private ownership? It would be an easy one for Pierier to sell off to raise funds.
Yeah... no. Both to being a baller and ever putting any kind of money into MV... again...

Yes I have 100km on it and changed the oil twice already with Maxima break-in oil.I the spring after a few more kilometers I will switch to full synthetic.Nice! You'll love it!
If you ride often, stock up on Motorex. And filters...
In BC, dealers here seem to gotten a massive incentive from the factory to move 2024 stock. My buddy just picked up an 890 Adventure R, (normal MSRP $17.5K) for $12.5K. This $5K trunk money seems to be across the board as multiple local dealers have slashed their prices by this amount:

Just perusing the ads in ON and QC, the incentive seems to be around $2k-$3K.
My buddy picked up one of those $12.5K 2024 890 Adventure R on a whim, knowing full well the warranty might not be worth the paper it's printed on next season, not to mention parts availability.
Anything on the 300s I could be convinced for a decent discountThe price cuts keep coming. This time on the non-KTM Pierer Group marques.
$5K off 2024 Husqvarna Norden 901
$6K off 2024 MV Agusta Brutale
Damn. Wish I had more room in the garage!!!

I'm seeing the same here was hoping for a big discount on a new 300 I guess not keep riding the old one for a few more yearsNot seeing any orange dirt bikes being discounted.
I think the vibe is that KTM will probably axe their street and ADV segments first before abandoning their core dirtbike business.
My guess is they will be out RedBull might grow in a lot of cash, but no brand like to be affiliated with a losing proposition.I wonder how this effects their MotoGP teams? How much longer can they afford to stay let alone keep two teams alive.
Last thing I want to see is another manufacturer leaving or have limited resources to invest in a competitive bike.
My guess is they will sacrifice price on the non KTM dirt bikes first. Not seeing any orange dirt bikes being discounted.

Dealers won’t cut prices unless they have no options. My guess is KTM prices in Ontario will hold till spring, then you will see some hefty discounting on road bikes, not so much on dirt.keeping an eye on our local dealers, they're being cute and purposely vague with boxing day stickers, but no mention of prices or price changes.
My buddy sent me a link for some 300 SX bikes discounted a few thousand at a US dealer recently. Can’t recall the dealer but seems there’s some cuts south of here. Not seeing any orange dirt bikes being discounted.

There were some discounts at GP late in fall. As I recall the biggest were on MX bikes and declined significantly once you got to the street legal enduros. My buddy sent me a link for some 300 SX bikes discounted a few thousand at a US dealer recently. I only looked for about 2min but here's a 24 300SX for $7999Cdn ($2600 off). Just need to look around for remaining inventory as far as you're willing to travel and then make an offer. If they bite fine, and if they don't also fine.
Could be worse - could be Nissan.Yep, the motorcycle and larger recreation industry is finally starting to experience the post-COVID hangover.

I’m having a hard time right now, a lot of killer deals on boats and bikes while I’m under a halt-trading order.Yep, the motorcycle and larger recreation industry is finally starting to experience the post-COVID hangover.
Granted, it took much longer than I expected. Dark economic clouds on the horizon are exacerbating the hangover too.
There are some seriously smoking deals out there for those who have kept their powder dry. Not just KTM. My bike-flipping buddies are in a feeding frenzy on Facebook. Every other post is, "Check out my new ride!!!"
I was wondering about that. I assume that means his wife told him to slow down with acquiring bikes for a bit.... a halt-trading order??
