KTM's Parent Company Isn't Doing Hot, Shifting More Production to China and India

They're under administration ... it's sure not me making the decisions. None of us are privy to what's going on inside.
That’s true, we can’t see what’s happening. But operating under court protection does require prioritization on expenditure - there is no situation I can think of where a marketing would take priority over payroll — and KTM isn’t making payroll.

Racing is not a fully intrinsic expense, there would be dozens or maybe hundreds of suppliers that need to keep delivering… I doubt a single one of them is supplying KTM right now. How will they transport bikes to races without transport companies?

I guess they could recruit some RideTheSix rossis to dirty ride the race bikes to the tracks.

Season starts 28 February in Thailand. Let's see if there are any KTM bikes (and badged as such) on the grid!

My guess is "no". And if it gets pushed that late, barring a "hail-mary" bailout, there's going to be a shortage of bikes on the grid. Not a good look.

(Dorna takes care of transporting ALL of the bikes and equipment to the fly-away races, by the way)

For free?

That shipment starts soon. Week 3 in January is when they pack for the Sepang test, and the shipping crates don't return until the first European round (Jerez). The creditors meeting is in the middle of all this.
