Reading this drivel makes me glad to be a unionized construction worker (off on Fridays thankyouverymuch). Say what you want about construction workers but this office stuff sound seriously flawed as a lifestyle.
Eh, you might be annoying, this other cat might just be an a-hole and bitter to everybody. Might be tired of noob temp people making his job worse. You yanked all the details so it's hard to make a judgement call.
I have worked in consulting for over a decade, and it is bad for business to have conflicts with any of the FT people. So, do your job well, don't pester people, act professional.

If done correctly, no assault charge.
If done correctly, no assault charge.
and you think this is bad, try working in the office of a bank. Sense of humor is to be left at home with those ***holes. Makes me glad I got out of that and went back to cars.

Other coworkers tell you he's normally like that and it pisses them off too. You tell him politely to stop grilling you and he becomes more infuriated and goes so far as to tell you you're wasting his time.
Would you ignore it or step it up? I'm curious to see how you guys would deal with a situation like this.
You don't find that a little alarming? You sound like a bitter dude who's just been in the industry for too long.My guess (JUST GUESSING HERE!! And half joking) is that this young fellow still lives with his parents.
He's not into politics or religion at all.
Uses his smartphone constantly for texting, but rarely makes a call.
Thinks he is ready to enjoy the best of corporate life, because he strongly believes that no one else in the office knows as much as him, so he deserves to be recognized asap.
Takes offence to anyone trying to explain anything to him. God forbids!
I don't know, man...you read this:
And somehow got all this information from that:
You don't find that a little alarming? You sound like a bitter dude who's just been in the industry for too long.
I've got a question for you office folks: is there never a case where calling someone out on their lack of professionalism works out? It seems like it's always either just grin & bear it or report it to HR. No one ever offers "go talk to them" as a solution. I'm a pretty tolerant person, but when it gets out of hand, I call them out on it and it always works. But then again, my work environments are a lot more lax than you guys (even when I was in the office).
Few key posts were edited out, causing confusion.
3 sides to every story. I wanna hear what the Askhole has to say.

I even stated that I really thought it was my fault until a few other co workers stated the guy has an attitude problem.
Again, I'm going to say other coworkers messaged me during the confrontation that the guy has an attitude problem. I initially thought I may have been doing something wrong.
plot twist: those coworkers are the problem.
figure out what it is that they want, figure out what it is you have to give them, and find a way to work together. no one cares if you like each other.
You sound like a bitter dude who's just been in the industry for too long.
it's not all bad.
Also, we have TPS reports.
And incompetent and sadistic middle management yelling at the co-ops, which sometimes is amusing to watch (as long as you are not the co-op).
And Dilbert.
And free coffee!
