Fak her right in Pus**: feminists need to suck the big one!

It's a form of protest against the nanny state

You don't think dudes doing this across the country, despite charges/backlash, would send a message? What are they gonna do? Charge everybody? And targeting the specific reporter would be sending the wrong message.

I think it would send the message that there is a bunch a sexist dude bro's running around..

I think this very specific meme (which was originally a hoax, staged by a filmmaker) is a pretty lame way to get back at teh feministz.

Can someone go back and quote exactly what he said that was offensive. I think I must be missing something.

He didn't say anything offensive. He merely defended FHRITP as being a funny joke.

As a fellow obnoxious/stupid drunk, I'm on his side, but at the same time, I woud never ever talk to the camera like that.

IMO firing him is over-the-top, but I reckon that his employer has the right to feel embarassed by his performance and to sever ties with him.

This is all a big non-event to me.

You don't know that. People want to have attention paid to them.
Tney'll do all sorts of silly things to get that attention on T.V.
Reporters know that and will use it against people.

What ever happened to supporting and educating each other?

Some parts of what he said are not even that clear! For example, some sources quoted him as saying to her:
"You're lucky there's not a f***ing vibrator near here"

other quoted him as
"You're lucky there's not a f***ing vibrator near your ear "
(apparently, in reference to the clip when someone puts a dildo in the ear of a male reporter).

Is it offensive? I guess it depends on each persons opinion.

What about you? What would you think if a dunk guy goes to your wife and says "You're lucky there's not a f***ing vibrator near your ear"? Would you be happy, upset, indifferent, offended? Would your wife be happy, upset, indifferent, offended? It really depends on the person.

But most people find that offensive.

He was alluding to something that happened in England.

Again, not something I would ever say with a camera to my face, but he wasn't threatening to pull out a dildo.

Ppl say rude thing to each other all the time. If someone cuts me off or something and I swear at them, makes me a bad employee? I suppose if I was in a company vehicle, but really valid to be fired?

Just don't be rude to young blonde women or all the weakest men in the world jump on you for it. Otherwise, open season. FWP.

I'm going to reach out a little farther with some examples here, but what about what is said to people like Police on a regular basis while responding to calls? Threats, insults, sexual or not who knows. I hate hearing about what we would think if it was out mother, wife, sister or whatever; this was NOT a sexual harassment case by any stretch of the imagination, this was some random twat acting like a twat, and doing it publicly like a twat. People are ***** to each other, everyday, and that is about as simple as this is.
Here's a full and clear example of why I'm sick of feminist hyperbole clogging any attempt at common sense in the world: TV show hockey wives; when one of these bimbos is asked about fears of infidelity from her NHL's husband, she replies with "I'd cut off his balls, cook them, and make him eat them". I would bet ANY amount of money that if the male counterpart had said "I would cut off her girl part, bbq it and make her eat it", then his public destruction would make the Hydro One guy's demise look like child's play.
This whole thing is an exercise of stupid people trying to out do each other. The Hydro dude just lit the match

Maybe you're right....I'm seriously ****** off about this issue and would be cool to do something about it but, yeah, this would be kind of a lame way of going about it. At the same time, loud and obnoxious gets attention and gets people speaking. No one cares about a long, intelligently structured argument as most people have the attention span of a bird and the IQ to match.

I have no idea what you're trying to say.

Basically, that you might be willing to look foolish to get on T.V. Look at all those reality shows.

Unfortunately, my wife isn't a reporter who goes around probing into those sorts of questions.
Sure, walking up to a random person and saying that is stupid and offensive and makes you look like a fool or worse.
But you have to look at the entire context of the situation.

None of us are perfect. There's no way that anyone can live up to these standards 24/7 for an entire lifetime without any mistakes.

Do we set up a system of one strike and you're out?

Like I said earlier, we need to educate and support each other, not isolate and despise.

You could join the MRA's

I also agree that every time I read somewhere that the guy made "sexist comments" I cringe as I fail to see the sexism. This is like some white guy putting a flaming bag of dog **** in front of some random door, ringing the doorbell, and then getting charged with a hate crime cause the guy living in the house just so happened to be black.

If we had true equality between sexes than we wouldn't care that she's a woman and we would just see this as a stupid prank....which is what it was. How can someone call themselves a feminist and than say that the punishment for offending a woman should be greater than for offending a man? Or that as a woman, she needs to be defended to a greater degree than a man? That in itself is sexist IMHO. Replace the female reporter with a man, and change the comment to "**** him right in the ***". Do you think the public backlash would be the same? LOL, no one would care.

In further news..
http://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/toron...o-field-won-t-be-charged-say-police-1.3075727

[h=1]FHRITP-linked men at BMO Field won't be charged, say police[/h]
Article goes on to say " Toronto police won't charge a group of men who engaged in an obscene conversation with a female journalist as she was working on a live segment from a soccer game last Sunday."

So now the exchange as "obscene" really, obscene? I get rude, inappropriate, vulgar, not sure if obscene is the most appropriate descriptor...

Then you man up and yell "have another donut you fat pig" referencing another stellar moment in sports history prompting bystanders to double over in howls of laughter. Tears streaming down her puffy cheeks, fully realizing the weight what she's done, she promptly submits her resignation. EZPZ, no need for all this other over reaction.

LOL. But what if she is filming me and puts it on national television:( Then I become another sexist misogynist male pig that hates fat people and kills baby seals. People will be howling for me to lynched publicly then disemboweled.
