Fak her right in Pus**: feminists need to suck the big one!

Legal and right are two different things. Legally HTA 172 can take your bike for a week cuz a cop saw you change lanes too many times for his liking. You ok with that too?

I am over it. No sweat off my back. I'm just open minded enough to see possible ramifications of doing something myself that someone finds offensive, launches a smear campaign and makes me loose my job. But hey, **** HIM cuz a reported baited him.

Glass houses and people throwing stones and all that mumbo jumbo.

He just lost his job. He is not going to prison.
Everything indicates it was legally justified, so no pile of money for him.
Sometimes drunken mistakes cost.
Get over it.

Life's full of things that offend us! Right?

That was insightful.

Lol..

For the record I thought what you wrote was right on point ...

Joe blow can't get drunk and be an a-hole on his own time with a few buddies...

Meanwhile back at the ranch the guy running hydro one is banging off rails off a couple strippers ass

Do they seem like a bunch of **********? Yes
Not likely a crowd I'd hang out with nor tolerate if around me. But that doesn't mean they deserve to lose their jobs over personal feelings. The reporter literally went up to THEM and asked for it. You guys have any ideas how smooth and snake-like reporters can be? She hooked 'em and reeled the idiots in. She put the mike to their faces, asked questions, and got answers she wanted. Now on the other hand if this was the actual guy that made the derogatory comment it would be a whole new story.

So now anyone who expresses their opinion can be hung.
Are you for cousins getting married? Yes? Lost your job.
Do you condone the husband that smacked his wife? "If bytch cheated heeeewll yeh". Lost your job.

"I believe if woman were so worried about getting raped they wouldn't jog in central park in a bikini at 5 in the morning". Oh!?!? Lost your job.

These aren't the actual perpetrators, yet lets use them as scapegoats.

I'm all for equality but most woman have orgasms for making men inferior simply because society nowa days allows them to.
Way way waaaay overdone. She deserves to lose HER job

Your post that I quoted was stupid and had no basis in reality.

Thinking that your life outside of work has no impact on your work (even if it stays within the bounds of the law) is foolish.

If you're stupid enough to go on live TV and admit that you condone a man beating his wife........... you should definitely lose your job.

Really? Because if you say a man should never beat his wife, because she's a woman, that would be sexist wouldn't it? So should you now lose your job? It's a matter of perspective. There will always be someone that disagrees with you, so should you lose your job because someone disagrees with YOUR opinion? And how many people need to disagree with your opinion? 25%, 40%, 73%? And is this only a local matter? In probably half the world's population, domestic violence is tolerated, and in a great deal of countries, not unlawful. And given our multicultural society, there would be a lot of locals from those countries.

With speech now gone, how long until freedom of thought is removed?

You are still allowed to say just about anything you want without fear of criminal prosecution. That is what "freedom of speech" is all about - the government cannot, within reason, pass laws to punish you for expressing opinions that the government finds inconvenient.

That doesn't mean that you have carte blanche to say anything you want and not have to face the civil and social consequences of doing so. Just as you have freedom of speech free of undue government interference, others have freedom of association, and the right to disassociate themselves and their companies from those who express socially repugnant points of view.

The idea that your employer has any input on your actions, thoughts, statements, or beliefs when you are not on the clock, or directly representing your company smacks of slavery to me. If they want to control me 24 hrs a day, they should be paying me 24 hours a day.

Just ridiculous how jobs were lost over social media pressure

Many companies will have sections in their employment contracts pertaining to conduct outside of work. IE, public drunken buffoonery can result in disciplinary action up to and including dismissal.

If you don't like that degree of slavery you could simply not take the job.

Actually because it's in a contract written by an employer and agreed by an employee doesn't make it legal or binding. Companies have to follow what the law says. I can write in 50 things that could say if employee broke x y z rule they would give me back all of their salaries or be held liable for $100k. Desperate employee agrees as he needs a job. Doesn't make it binding or legal or enforceable.

Let's say you're operating a sausage cart. To keep yourself infotained you hardwire a radio thru the lightning rod, round the left front swivel wheel, past the mayo squirter to under the sink. Today you're dialled into a call in show. All of a sudden you know why your helping hand is late for work. He's on the blower to said show, and get a load of this, he's promoting full on double fisted common law wife beating. He finally shows up for work. You tell him to take a hike. Bad?
