Fak her right in Pus**: feminists need to suck the big one!

There seems to be a lot missing.

How did he get linked back to his company.

How was he supposed to be representing them there?

What else was said?

What about the guy who actually said it on the air?

For me, when the first guy who said something like that, it was stupid, not funny.
Any copycats are also stupid.
The reporter handled it wrong. She confronted a group that she though might say something, and one of them found it amusing.
Someone had to have looked them up and linked them back for something like this to happen.
This means that others are out there now, doing the same. Things are just going to get worse and worse.
Soon, everyone will be afraid of saying something stupid, or messing up, because it will be cause for dismissal.

I believe that there's a Ted Talk on this subject.

I don't think that reporters should be able to film someone for the purpose of airing it on national TV without a signed consent. What about their right to privacy?

When in public, you have no reasonable expectation of privacy therefore the reporter didn't have to asked them for permission.

And they didn't have to say anything when she challenged them. Instead, the one guy almost tried to swallow the microphone to make sure what he chose to share was fully picked up by the mic. It worked. Every word of his was picked up.

I agree, people love to jump on the bandwagon, condemn and criticize! As if theyve never done anything stupid in their lives.

Its not like he killed, raped or caused permanent damage to someone.

Yes, what he did was wrong and if she wants to sue him, she should be able to. We have courts for that. But for Hyrdo to use this as some free publicity stunt is cheap.

This kid probably worked/studied hard to get a job like that so to completely ruin all his life's work because he made a stupid drunken comment is insane!

but in Canada, we love to be on our high horses and be all overly PC.

Give him some community service or make him pay a fine but to fire him is just an over reaction.

I don't disagree that in family court women get the big benefit of doubt as you commented about in an earlier post.

However your comment that no permanent harm was done doesn't take into account the effect of continued harassment. Do you lol when some kid offs herself over this kind of behavior?

The comment about a lawsuit is a joke. It takes years and a small fortune to push something like that through court. How much is she supposed to sue for?

He worked hard... What makes you think she didn't?

His being fired is what we need. Instant punishment gets results. When punishment is delayed it gets rationalized, forgotten, downplayed, buried. That said I do have respect for the course of judgement. I would hope that he was interviewed before being fired.

If I was his employer I would ask if those were his words, if he was forced to say them at gunpoint. If it was clarified that he made the comments of his own free will I would then fire him.

I don't know which members are female and how they feel about male comments. Gloria Steinem reamed a reporter for saying she looked nice. Basically "What right do you have to comment on my appearance?"

Is it OK for some guys to comment among themselves that the babe that just walked by was hot if they don't suggest banging her?

Do women find that flattering or degrading? Does it depend on the "Hunk" factor of the guys doing the commenting?

I think part of rude comments came from critical mass thinking. There's a whole bunch of us drunk A-holes so we can do whatever we want because there's a lot of us. Wrong. The jerks got what they deserved. Kudos to the reporter.

So its instant punishment is what we need now, not due process? So you are OK with the street racing law impounding vehicles on a cops whim? So, let me give you this scenario. I'm riding my motorcycle. I have a GoPro on. Shawna Hunt fails to yeild right of way to me, pulls a left turn in front of me and almost causes a collision. I follow her still filming pull up beside her and asked if she knew that she cut me off. She replies she doesn't care and tells me to fak off. I put the video on You tube. Do think people are going to be carrying on the same way? Do you think City TV would fire her? An honest answer please.

^^ not even remotely the same thing. Swing and a miss.

Many TV hosts have been suspended or fired for being caught saying & doing things on camera. An ESPN host was suspended for yelling at a towing company in a rude way.

Getting suspended verses fired all depends on the individuals value to the company. I am guessing that this Hydro employee who got fired was probably a complete jerk at work too so no one was going to fight for his importance to the company.

Then you man up and yell "have another donut you fat pig" referencing another stellar moment in sports history prompting bystanders to double over in howls of laughter. Tears streaming down her puffy cheeks, fully realizing the weight what she's done, she promptly submits her resignation. EZPZ, no need for all this other over reaction.

I dont think it that particular phrase that caused this he could have just yelled "Donkey penis" and it sounds like the same thing would happen.... however there is no way that charge can stick.

Right now he is an unidentified person who has the option of quietly paying a relatively low-cost ticket and remaining under the radar.

Or he can choose to fight the ticket, become the subject of national attention as the media identifies him and follows his case through the courts, and suffer the social repercussions of being shown to be a vulgar idiot.

Tough decision huh?

Please read ALL of my post including the part where I say "I have respect for the course of judgement."

However there is an argument for instant justice in black and white cases. In my post I state the the mouthpiece is given a chance to contradict the video.

I am against HTA 172 because it is not black and white. Define "Out accelerate" for example. How about "Marked departure"? The 50 over I could possibly live with if backed up with legit radar or other untamper-able evidence and compensation if found not guilty. It is still the worrisome thin edge of the wedge.

In your scenario of being cut off you are talking about a one-off event between people of equal status. Sexual harassment is a systematic persistent attack on a specific group of people.

In your hypothetical scenario do I think Hunt should be fired for cutting you off and then trivializing it? Yes. I honestly think she should and her more so than Jane Doe in that Hunt is a public figure that has made a point of people being respected. No different than the hell-fire and brimstone preacher who has a fling with a hooker.

How would you like to be groped by a woman? Sounds cool right?

Here's the catch. She's 50 years old, partly bald, 150 pounds overweight, has adult acne, bad breath and hasn't had a bath in a month and a half. Still cool? That's the crap women have to put up with.

Don't yell things sexist things out of a window then if you don't like the social consequences.

Really?? This type of analogy is all you have? Try again, this one is not even close, not even in the same galaxy an astronomer would say ....

He lost it the moment he opened his mouth ... he had until then. Common sense ....

Now they're just slapping on whatever bs charges they can...Stunting for ****'s sake??

Well the charge itself I don't agree with I only have a quick read of the Alberta stunting laws and don't see how it applies especially considering he was a passenger . Would not be the first time cops have done this.

I would fight the ticket, easy choice for me, 100% serious. I'm tempted to yell "FHRITP" at a reporter myself. I dont' give a ****, I will take a ticket, or whatever, I'll take abuse on social media, I don't give a crap, It's a form of protest against the nanny state IMHO.

Do you really want to do it? In case you want to find her, here it is... May 23, Toronto FC plays at BMO field... the reporter will be there, cameras rolling. Go for it!
