Been reports that world leaders are already reaching out to trump.

Of course. They have to deal with him (or his government), whether they like it or not.

The first time around, it was quite apparent that Trump liked people sucking up to him, so take one guess how he's going to be handled in public. They'll play him like a fiddle.

I wouldn't wager on that, I think the world leaders has a lot of respect for trump

I agree, he does like his ass kissed, but i disagree on world leaders playing him like a fiddle, he's a lot more cunning then CNN would like to have us all believe.

Can you explain what was so apparent? I must have missed or wasn't watching the same news channel as the liberals watch

At this point folks should stop attacking Biden and let the man live out the rest of his days in peace.
Heard he has a nice old school Corvette - hopefully he gets to drive it around again.

I found this, on canada.ca - the government's own website! - the actual directive, from last year, whose meaning is now being twisted.

That is what the government actually said.

If you read this, this directive was issued in response to a Supreme Court of Canada ruling - which means the government had no choice but to do something about it, and this is what they did.
I think the kerfuffle is that in prior years the DOD issued a temporary pause on the directive after receiving public outcry. That pause allowed chaplains to deliver Remembrance Day ceremonies under the old rules.

I think this is another example of Woke creeping into our political and judicial system. In a democracy, there is a balance between the will of the people and the rights of the people. Directives like this are unnecessary, they do not protect rights, and they aren't directives from the people. They are simply products of a Woke left.

Like I said earlier, Woke will be dead in Canada this time next year.

Broken link but I think it pertains to this (from last year) https://bccatholic.ca/news/canada/c...on-remembrance-day-service-religious-language

I can only find indirect reference to this on religious websites, and I am not about to go digging through who knows how many such sites in order to find the actual language of this "pause". This article (and, apparently, the original one judging by the text of the title of the broken link) references The Epoch Times, which is not credible. So, perhaps it happened, perhaps something has been misconstrued, perhaps something is being blown out of proportion for political or religious purposes. Whatever the fuss was about, it was around last year as well - and before that. As far as I can tell, Remembrance Day ceremonies have been carrying on.

Viewpoint from a non-Christian source. I AM NOT listening to this, someone else can, if they're so inclined (I'm not). Remembrance Day, minus religion: Faith-based prayers nixed from military ceremonies

This is NOT NEW, the following viewpoint is from 2016: https://www.cbc.ca/radio/the180/lea...n-t-feel-welcome-at-remembrance-day-1.3835169

Personal opinion ... Meh. I'm agnostic.

Where is the line though? He is president-elect but not the sitting president for a few more months. I doubt they could pull off a shotgun trial in time so the distinction is probably for interest and has little practical implications this time.

That is unless the judge sentences him to prison for his existing convictions. That would be a pile of poo flung everywhere.
The line is "was he president at the time of the act."

I don't think there is any appetite to prosecute Trump right now.

The real question is will there really be retribution? Will the Biden family be put under a microscope? Will the politically motivated Democratic prosecutors in NY, GA and FL feel the wrath?

There is no doubt that Democrats weaponized the judicial system against their opponents. Even the NY Attorney General said "No state prosecutor has ever charged federal election laws as a direct or predicate state crime, against anyone, for anything. The charges, are seemingly crafted individually for the former president and nobody else, by a prosecutor who ran for office as an anti-Trump candidate, in a trial presided over by a Democrat judge who donated to Democratic causes."

The other NY Business trial was also an unprecedented use of the law and had a grossly excessive sized fine. The New York statute has been on the books for decades and has only been used to prosecute those convicted of a criminal financial offense that left financial victims. It had never been used but as a felony when there was no other financial crime or when the crime was victimless. The fine and appeal conditions were also unprecedented -- the typical fine is $5,000, Trump was fined $455,000,000. The case was prosecuted and judged by Democrate faithful.

Then the FL Docs case. He had some in his basement, Biden had same in the garage at his garage. Federal prosecutor assigned to prosecute Trump, Secret service van dispatched to collect records from Biden.

Then GA. Another Dem prosecutor Fani Willis, is attempting to apply RICO charges designed to prosecute organized crime to Trump for election meddling. One by one her cases are being thrown out for overreach.

I'm not saying Trump is an Angel, far from that. I am saying that the prosecutors and judges have all been highly partisan

BLOTUS was found guilty in the New York case, the judge is scheduled to pronounce sentencing on the 20th. This oughta be interesting.

Tom Homan will help clean up democrats mess they have made at the border 👍
