I am all for government efficiency improvements. My point was if you are giving a young adult a few hundred k a year and a pile of stock options, when you ask them to sleep at the office for months, many buy in. Take the average middle age civil servant and tell them to double their output and the majority will tell you to screw yourself. Output may actually drop.For better or for worse?
I would think a balance of the generational gap in the workplace would be ideal.
Thing about the older employees is they have a lot of tribal knowledge that can't simply be learned. And they tend to be more dependable when **** hits the fan imo.
Young people tend to be all about the quickest way to get a job done and work/life balance - however that could also translate to shut the laptop down at 5pm sharp and see you next business day.
