Those two categories make up 30% of the US population and zero percent of the key staff. Hitting percentages exactly is a bad idea but I would be surprised if there were no good candidates with those backgrounds.

I really like this appointment, 18 spy agencies probably include some acronyms that are unknown to the general public. Also adds a Samoan to help tide over the diversity crowd.

So your looking for some token equity hires? Hiring based on race and gender worked really well for Trudeau and Canada.
He has lots of respect for Ben Carson, I wouldnt be surprised to see him in a role within Health Department. You cant expect population based hiring spreads, since there is much less then 30% republican mexican and black people in the country, yet alone in politics.

I am of German heritage.
I know full well the horrors the Nazi regime caused. It is still a great cultural shame in Germany - you will almost never see a flag flying except on government buildings. This is the shame the average German feels.

I'm not having any problem understanding that you want to side step the question by trying to justify giving equal weight to the pointless exercise of spending multiple thousands of dollars and man hours to prosecute some homeless person for stealing a hundred +/- dollars of food and someone having 20 odd document boxes of classified documents they removed from a secure location without permission (read: stole) and stored in their washroom.
If it were as simple as you say. Check out that internet thingy, you might see thousands of videos from California where criminals load up $949 worth of goods from Walmart, Home Depot and every mom and pop store in the state then dash out the door.
You cans buy gas in the state without prepaying, you can’t dine in a lot of places without giving them your credit card before ordering. You can’t get an Amazon package delivered to your house unless you’re home.
