Let's just get through the back and forth.

If the ones you put in place did not improve the state of my life then I'm not voting for you again. 100% no. I don't care if the other candidate promises me the nuclear launch codes. You had 4 years to get it right and then you come at me with 'more of the same' slogan as the campaign? There's no way in hell I would buy it at a second time and 73 million people not far from here agree with me.

Kamala was my pick going into the 2020 primaries after reading about the democratic candidates. She was aggressive, no-radical left, assumed she would be a good communicator as she was a prosecutor.

Then primaries happened and it turns out she was not a good communicator and dropped out almost immediately.

Then Biden picked her as his VP and I was happy as I had bet a friend that Biden was too old to make it through a term. Then she didn't do anything. VPs often don't do anything, but they can, and she didn't.

Then she got handed the nomination, I was happy to see my original pick get to take on Trump. Someone in the democratic machine coached her on communications and her speeches came across as fake and annoying to me. I would imagine that they also influenced her policies as well because her focus went further and further left.

There were some brief moments in the debate where she showed the Kamala that I was expecting but overall, she was a disappointment. By the time the election came I was half wanting Trump to take it.

Easier said than done. Up here JT has dumped a ton of poison in the well and PP will be lucky to bleach it out in four years.

PP also has to go up against the civil service that would rather go against grandmothers that overstayed their visits than go up against criminals. Do not think for one moment the civil service is going to take cuts without a bloody and expensive fight.

I seriously think a surtax to fix the problem should be labeled a "Trudeau Liberal Correction Tax."

The US is a safe country so if one of their illegals wants into Canada they can't claim asylum. If a bunch of bleeding hearts let them in we're screwed. Does our front line have the guts to do the right thing.

Moderators: Should this be moved to trash talk? It keeps the cheapskates out and we can swear.

Kamala burnt through 118 million in three months, now being reported the campaign is 20mill in debt.

Reported they’re selling people emails and contact lists.

Also reported that they have not paid their bills

Whatever happens south of the border ... it's not like they didn't know, or ought to know, what they are in for this time.

I am suspending all plans for international travel and will be raising cash in investment portfolios until there's more clarity in how this plays out.

One thing to bear in mind, is that no matter what happens, the sun still rises, every day, and there will be clouds from time to time.

Republicans won, Democrats lost - for all kinds of reasons. Let's move along, shall we ?
The Hallmark Christmas movies started in October - all this election stuff cut into my viewing time.
I don't even want to think about how many Hudson and Rex episodes I've missed...

Yeah not sure where you saw this...I haven't been auditing them but I recall they received a lot of money quickly when she was put on the ticket.

It is possible that both ToSlow and Brian are correct. Sourcing reasonable data is the interesting part. A lot of fundraising ends up in things like superpacs that are related but separate. There is a chance that the official campaign fund is underwater and there is a legally distinct warchest full of money.

That's what America wanted, not Biden 2.0.
Part of the problem was that america didn't WANT Biden either... they GOT Biden. The Dems could have got two squirrels in a trench coat elected in 2020, and the Dems chose Biden out of desperation because they had no one else, then when he abruptly dropped out so soon before Nov, all the Dems had left was Harris... and Harris was not ready to run for president.
When Obama got elected the FIRST time, the Dems should have been preparing their next candidate... and they did nothing. The Democratic party failed the Democratic party... BIG TIME. Biden didn't help by dropping out when he did; dropping out showed the american people how disorganized the Dems were/are. Harris NEEDED at least one more term as VP, and she NEEDED to DO SOMETHING that got her noticed, Harris had nothing of substance to offer the american voters... except woman's reproductive rights, and she kinda wussed out on that in the end too. Harris's platform ended up the same as Biden's: I'm not Donald Trump. Hell even I wouldn't have voted for her.
If Biden had done anything spectacular in his term it would have shone a favourable light on Harris, but he just muddled through his term, then quit when the going got tough. Not exactly a dynamic example to follow up on.
Harris, and the Dems got out politic'ed and, sorry, rightly so.
The sun has risen and set twice since Mr. Trump got elected... maybe we'll make it
TL/DR: The Dems put up a mouse for election when they needed a lion to win

Don't see anything like that.

As per Forbes Democrats raised 1 billion in direct campaign funding and collectively both campaigns spend 900 million.

Democrats raised 3x more than Trump did, outside of Super PACs.

Yeah that's what I'm seeing as well. Lots of mainline Democrats saying they would take Biden over Trump any day of the week, but would prefer almost any Democrat other than Biden be President.

You haven't been able to swear in TT since the software change. Everything gets asterisk'd. Can't remember when it was. 4ish years ago?
