Why does the US have such problems with holding, for the lack of a better term, credible elections?

Every other government that holds questionable elections is viewed as corrupt... so is this a tacit admission that the majority of americans think their government is corrupt?
We all know if you want to hold a stacked election, call the experts: the CIA. World leaders in winning elections

Here’s a pretty accurate post mortem from one of my favourite comedians. This is Jonathan Pie, his persona is a serious journalist who has ranty breakdowns inbetween his news casts.

@jc100 Just watched that.... it's amazing. That is how political comedy should be done.

I think it’s pretty well accepted that US elections are free and fair, the ‘credibility’ problem seems to belong to the conspiracy theorists, not the elections.

OH?
Why does it get so much traction? I'm NOT saying US elections are fraudulent, I'm saying a lot of americans think fraudulent elections are a possibility.
Try pulling that crap here and see if it gets any traction.

If Trudeau pulls off a win in the next election, i imagine you may see similar grumblings?

I get your point though.

Remember how he praised so many new hires as "the best....." before he later turfed them for being idiots no would hire.
He's spoken at length to trusting the advice of people who should have been plugged in for appointments. In his first term he was not a politician so he looked to those that should know better. Now, were they truly problems or people that wouldn't tow the line?

./shrug

I believe she's been with him 4 years already, that should say something.

You won't even give him momentary applause for breaking a glass ceiling, you`re a hard man.

And is this YOUR tacit admission Mr. Trump is a conspiracy theorist? Mr. Trump seems to drink, and serve, the corrupt election koolaid pretty good

A lot of them were very smart people with quite distinguished careers. We both know the answer.
I've heard plenty of people call DJT pretty stupid and last I checked he's about to sit on the throne (again).

Is it that cut and dry? I have my doubts.

Smart!=Intelligent

I think he’s pretty spot on. If you think about the summary then basically Harris should have lied and promised things in the same way Trump did. Instead the Dems went another direction and didn’t really focus on policy much.

In the end Trump was the better salesman regardless of what was being sold. Unfortunately, that’s his strength.

“It’s the economy stupid” is correct, but only if you don’t look closely and realize your economy is actually not as bad as the salesman is telling you it is.

Disagree, she should have promised change it didn't have to be a lie. That's what America wanted, not Biden 2.0. policies.

Instead the Democrats banked on Trumps negative record and him putting his foot in his mouth. Talk about not reading the room properly. If heads don't roll I suspect mid-terms won't change much.

It shouldn't take 4 hours of waiting in line to vote. States shouldn't pass laws forbidding people from handing out water to people standing in line ... but there shouldn't be a demand for such a thing because it shouldn't take hours in line to vote. Gerrymandering, too. And selecting polling locations that are hard for some people to get to. And inconsistent ID requirements.

And no, I don't think any of this would have changed the overall outcome.

And I still think the world is in for a world of hurt because of this.

I would be VERY happy to be proven wrong. Time will tell.

Let's ask America!

You just said America didn’t want Biden policies. I’m simply asking which ones were failures.

I have a theory. It involves susceptibility to being told the grass is greener somewhere else without understanding what the grass is like under your feet. Salesmen are great at that. Particularly ones selling snake oil.

I can see you didn't watch the video I posted of Portnoy, you should have. Good perspective.

He also answers your question, hence my previous statement.
