Daily sports car?

For me, the 996 was the most desirable. I wasn't really into the air cooled and fell in love with the 996 GT2 after seeing its reliability on the early 2000s gumball with Lonman abusing his all over. I've seen turbo 996 for sale, but the GT2 are rarer. Neighbour has a 997 GT2 and 996 GT3 cs, so it just swayed me after chatting.

Yeah, I love the aggressive look of the GT2!

All those variants you've mentioned have the advantage of being the mid-model refresh of the 996: namely, the elimination of the fried egg-headlights and the wide-body vs slab-side of the 996.1. That started with the introduction of the 996 Turbo and subsequent variants were much more well-received by owners and collectors.

After the 996.1 headlight debacle, Porsche never forked around with the round headlight design of the 911 ever again.

This should buff out....

Yep, happens when you don't use the correct lifting points on the new mid-engine platform. Problem is, there are what appear to be lifting points in the same locations as the previous gen Vette's, which are confusing people who don't bother to read the manual.

@Lightcycle has to get the snowboards to the mountain somehow. GT3 RS fits the bill for an awesome daily.

Now's a good time of the year to buy a convertible so what's your choice in one with a $25,000 budget? Only necessity is that it needs to be an automatic trans (I know, I know).
My heart (and age) wants to say a 2002ish Firebird Trans Am convertible.

A friend's brother has had a few Elans, a Europa, and a few Esprits, one a JPS. He's moved on. Ordered a new Emira a few weeks ago.
A women was running a Europa at the GB Festival of Speed. What a cool car.

My Man in Space teacher (yes, that was an actual course) in high school ('75) had a Europa as his daily driver. Then again, he had a Capuchin Monkey as a pet as well..........

C3 Vette Vert would be top of my list.
Don't think you could get a good condition 911 Targa for that price but if you could...
Next would be a Mazda RF
Z4 also
I'm not a big S2000 fan but I know they're on the top of a lot of people's lists. Hard to come by though.
Also not on my list but popular, Boxster.
