News flash! According to Ford, he is not perfect, but he's the best mayor Toronto has ever had. Hmmm.
Ford apologizes for a couple of incidences of inebriation. Isn't the bigger concern his close association with criminals? Ford Nation, does that not concern you?

He also said that he's not an alcoholic and won't change his intake, but will change the behaviour surrounding it. My experience and his own words clearly tell me that he is an alcoholic and is in denial. He may also have substance abuse problems, but that has yet to be proven to court standards.

Chances are that the video will *sooner or later* be posted on Youtube. So for one minute let's move on to the next steps after that.
People who already saw the video has said that Ford makes homophobic and racist comments in the video. If the allegations turn out to be true, can someone sue him (either in civil or criminal court)?
Will Justin Trudeau sue him for slander???

However, RTR is wrong on one point; Ford has done something to be officially kicked out, which was to deliberately commit a breach of trust. The fact that a judge deemed him too stupid to be held responsible for his own actions is unfortunate, but that doesn't change the fact that Ford acted illegally.
In this situation, the mayor has a serious health problem and should seek help, and probably a leave of absence, just like someone who had a sever heart attack, for example. The city should support him in his recovery. Of course, he has to admit to having a problem first...!

I think it was conflict of interest, rather than breach of trust, though that's quibbling over minutia on my part. Fact is that judge #1 tossed Ford, after giving him every opportunity in the world to recant his initial position, then judge #2 let him walk purely on a technicality that shouldn't really have mattered.

Why not make a statement that Toronto will not accept corrupt politicians and force Ford out. City Council will work just fine without him and might even be more productive. It doesn't have to be Ford or 'Pinko Commie' as some seem to try and skew it. Lets stand up for standards in politicians. Ford ran on this type of platform and turned out to be a money wasting, Tax increasing, influence abusing (and substance abusing), corrupt politician just like the others.

The fact that conservatives want to hang their hats on a guy with only one conservative value (save taxpayers money) and scoffs at all their other values is the golden boy makes no sense. Demand better! I mean Ford wrote a letter on city letter head to vouch for a known criminal who was his drug dealer and threatened his wife with death (I guess a guy after Rob's own heart?). Shows up to jails to visit his friends and stumbles drunk to hang out with gang members known for gun and drug running which are serious issues the city faces and yet our mayor parties with them. How anyone can defend him now is beyond me.
How much city money has his shady dealings costing the city police budget? How much will it cost to hire Ford a babysitter to drive him around as it seems like its the only way to keep him from drinking and driving. Is the gravy just supposed to flow one way?
