This, unlike the other one, is actually a photoshop. What if he had a TV show?

Re: BY By Tommy boy Ford kicked out!!

I don't think the cops will ever be done with him .... it's one of those never ending cases. They have not finished one lead and RoFo adds another .... LOL

Good, steady gig this particular team of investigators has been given. But surely there must be something at the end of it, because it ain't cheap ....

Just follow the mayor and they'll clean up a good chunk of organized crime in our city :D

LOL .... you might be on to something?

Re: BY By Tommy boy Ford kicked out!!

Today was pretty funny: I know a guy who's a hard-core Ford supporter, well that guy is also a big Bob Marley fan.

He was basically in heaven today.

Re: BY By Tommy boy Ford kicked out!!

Little Dougie Ford really needs to learn to keep his mouth shut. He called CFRB again, last night, to tell the people filling in for John Tory that Tory was part of the 1%, but that he and his brother weren't. The 1% starts at less than $200K. They're part of the 0.1% and RoFo's actions, and arrogance show that he's the definition of what people think of, when they think of the 1%. Throwing big parties and inviting the whole city doesn't change that; it cements it.

Re: BY By Tommy boy Ford kicked out!!

Unfortunately I think that a candidate who sticks to the issues and discusses the way he'll run the city will be run over by the Ford Freak Show (FFS - good acronym for it ) At the barber shop last week, I almost puked when I heard the barber and a patron saying things like "He's honest, regular guy like us, not like those rich fatcats". Pulled a superb Bush act and put on a Teflon suit. Nothing sticks to him

Re: BY By Tommy boy Ford kicked out!!

You don't hear a lot of bad things about teflon thats for sure.

I too find this phenomenon quite irritating and find myself asking people who support Ford why? They usually answer with the lies told by Ford which have been proven false and when I bring that up they tell me that its just a 'lefty elitist media' conspiracy to take down one of the regular guys. Voters really are that ignorant/dumb. The issues don't matter its all about this divisive us vs them mentality that Ford appeals to and no amount of information will convince them otherwise because they have convinced themselves that the truth are lies.

It's no different at the provincial or federal level either. Just look at all the swooning over Justine Turdo....

Agreed.. The fibs brought out a shiny pony, riding on his last name and no experience indicative of him being able to run a lemonade stand, not to mention the country and the sad part is that the sheep will vote him in thinking he'll take us back to our glory days.

Funny thing there; Trudeau has about as much experience as Harper had, when he was first elected. It would seem that experience is only an issue to hidebound big C Conservatives, when it's not a Conservative they're talking about.

I'm of the opinion that Harper has tossed all of my small C conservative ideals into the wood chipper, and I don't reward people for breaking promises. Is Trudeau my idea candidate? Not bloody likely but he hasn't broken any promises to me yet, and he's not NDP. My only alternative, at this point, would be to run and vote for myself, under the Rhino Party banner. I'm seriously considering it.

Kinda hard to break any promises when you pretty much avoid having a platform other than pandering to pot smoking hippies.

It's all about best of bad lot and applying pressure to your MP to attempt to improve what we have.

My only alternative, at this point, would be to run and vote for myself, under the Rhino Party banner. I'm seriously considering it.

The only problem with this is it just throws your vote which means you effectively tacitly approve whomever gets in.

As our fine American friends are learning the really really hard way that lieberal "hope and change" is a euphemism for how to self destruct a country, if we ever have Turdo running the ship we will rue the day he was conceived.......

Your local MP is meaningless, unless he or she ends up in Cabinet. Even then, Harper has shown that only his opinions matter.

As far as I know we aren't currently in a run up to a Federal election, though the Conservatives seem to be spending an awful lot of time campaigning. With our money.

Voting Rhino, or running as a Rhino, is a protest. More than a decade ago Elections Canada recommended that the option of formally declining your ballot, as a form of voter protest, should be permitted at the Federal level. To date no one in government has even deigned to comment on that.

Our fine American friends are learning a lot but our Fededral Conservatives have also learnt a lot from the American Republicans, like spending like drunken sailors on leave and rabidly partisan (and misleading) politics. I want real fiscal conservatives as an option; not neo-cons. When the Liberals are better stewards of the public purse than are the Conservatives, there's a serious issue. Even leaving aside the massive spending spree that the conservatives went on, when they took government, the banking reforms that they had been pushing before taking office would have ruined this country. Now they crow about what a good job they've done on the economy, when the vast majority of what they take credit for was actually performed by the Liberals.

People have to stop throwing around words like "liberal" as if they're a curse and look at the real underlying politics. Stop using political shorthand and dig deep.

Being a strong leader doesn't disqualify you as being a good leader (and I'm not saying he is or isn't...)

As far as I know we aren't currently in a run up to a Federal election, though the Conservatives seem to be spending an awful lot of time campaigning. With our money.

Actually, our Fed election isn't that far away and Justine is running around doing pretty much the same already. Furthermore, isn't at least some of the "campaigning" paid for through donations to the party, not out of the public coffers? Even if it is out the public coffers, any gubment spends money attempting to convince their chattel that they are doing a good job. Neither the Libs nor the NDP would be any different.

Voting Rhino, or running as a Rhino, is a protest. More than a decade ago Elections Canada recommended that the option of formally declining your ballot, as a form of voter protest, should be permitted at the Federal level. To date no one in government has even deigned to comment on that.

Which means its still pointless to do so because currently it is throwing your vote away.

But the Libs aren't/haven't done any better at managing the public purse (Provincial non-existent power plants anybody? this is just one example).

Even leaving aside the massive spending spree that the conservatives went on, when they took government,

But isn't this what the sheep actually want (but not actually need....)?

the banking reforms that they had been pushing before taking office would have ruined this country.

Coulda, shoulda, woulda. If they didn't ruin it we can't imply fault that they "could" have.

Now they crow about what a good job they've done on the economy, when the vast majority of what they take credit for was actually performed by the Liberals.

Just like Obama blaming bush for 2014 problems, after almost 8 years in power I highly doubt we can claim it was the Libs who are the architect of our "so-called" fine economy. Of course if the economy tanks it's all the Con's fault right?

People have to stop throwing around words like "liberal" as if they're a curse and look at the real underlying politics. Stop using political shorthand and dig deep.

I agree. But since the party is actually called the Liberals that's the tag we have.

The whole system is broken, both up here and in the US.

Obama is shredding the constitution and the Pub's just sit back and say what can they do about it.

People blame the Cons for being to centered and the libs are lost in space back in the 80's with their social engineering "we know better than you about what you need BS". Add the Dippers and there truly isn't anybody to vote for.

But since it will be 1 of the 3, I'll be sure to cast my vote for one of them.
