I think they should vote for the wicked witch. Carney has a chance of getting gullible morons to vote for him. Nobody likes the witch. The rest of the candidates have less than 10% of the votes and don't have a chance unless Carney and CF drop out or die.
There's chatter about all the people who signed up for Liberal Party membership(s) ironically/anarchically organizing to block vote to force them into admitting it's rigged and Carney is anointed, not voted in democratically.
Rules now require you to be a member of the liberal party and specifically require that you not be a member of any other party. I posted the link to the rules at some point. They aren't hard to find.
I suppose you can quit one party and join the other, the same way that politicians do it.
I don't know how they confirm it. I suspect self affirmation. Having the lists shared btween parties seems like a terrible idea.

Just because only 50lbs were caught at the border, doesn’t mean there weren’t tons of it flowing in or out.

For me, I'm kind of upset that the Liberals didn't start to get their shtuff in order and prepare for a new President back in July. When Trump was shot and not killed, he was a shoe in. The media seemed to pick up and/or publish some mis/dis information late in the race, and thought that the candidates were neck & neck, or even that Kamala was slightly ahead. While that could get the Democrat vote out, it turned out to not be true. Some Democrats are now claiming that the election was stolen (Fact Check: Did 20 million Democratic votes ‘disappear’ in the US election?), deja vu. Anyways, most people knew that Trump was coming, and the Libs had plenty of time to get a new mandate before the Presidential election, but they didn't. Now we're stuck with a non government running things, waiting until their pensions come in, Joli is in meetings with Trump's Senate enemies, and a whole lot of hurt is in our future.

Doesn't a person have to be elected to a seat to sit in the house of commons? While Carney could be the party leader another Liberal would have to vacate his / her seat to allow a by-election to occur, letting Carney take office.
Considering the present Liberal popularity that would be like pulling the goalie when you've already got two players in the penalty box.

Carney is obviously a smart money manipulator which is great for people with money. It's not so great for the family living on bean casseroles.
While typically PM is an MP, that is not a requirement. Carney is eligible as an outsider.
