Like all laws, vague for a reason? That makes sense but I expected that to be laid out in the official document.

I think they should vote for the wicked witch. Carney has a chance of getting gullible morons to vote for him. Nobody likes the witch. The rest of the candidates have less than 10% of the votes and don't have a chance unless Carney and CF drop out or die.My dogs are having a tough time deciding who to vote for in the leadership race. I’m pushing them towards Ruby.

Rules now require you to be a member of the liberal party and specifically require that you not be a member of any other party. I posted the link to the rules at some point. They aren't hard to find.I thought you didn’t have to be a member of the Liberal party to vote for a nominee?
There was some scandal where foreign students were bused in by a foreign government.
I suppose you can quit one party and join the other, the same way that politicians do it.Rules now require you to be a member of the liberal party and specifically require that you not be a member of any other party. I posted the link to the rules at some point. They aren't hard to find.
I don't know how they confirm it. I suspect self affirmation. Having the lists shared btween parties seems like a terrible idea.I suppose you can quit one party and join the other, the same way that politicians do it.
Who said there was no fentanyl problem in Canada? Of course we have a problem.
Does it explicitly state that you have to be a citizen of Canada?Rules now require you to be a member of the liberal party and specifically require that you not be a member of any other party. I posted the link to the rules at some point. They aren't hard to find.
To put this into context this is the rcmp soliciting more funding never mind that if this were true it would certainly illustrate how ineffective at policing Canada the rcmp are.
Or the USAWho said there was no fentanyl problem in Canada? Of course we have a problem.
Just because only 50lbs were caught at the border, doesn’t mean there weren’t tons of it flowing in or out.
We’re just not as big of a problem as Mexico.

And.. a thousand pounds of cocaine were caught coming into Canada from the US in the last week or so.. in 2 busts. Imagine how much is getting through.
Exactly. It was nothing more than a ruse to get things riled up.Or the USA

Let’s see what reason they come up with next month…and the one after that…and the one after that….and the next 44 months.
It’s only about money. Nothing else matters.![]()
Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump)
Canada has agreed to ensure we have a secure Northern Border, and to finally end the deadly scourge of drugs like Fentanyl that have been pouring into our Country, killing hundreds of thousands of Americans, while destroying their families and communities all across our Country.Canada will...truthsocial.com
"As President, it is my responsibility to ensure the safety of ALL Americans, and I am doing just that. I am very pleased with this initial outcome, and the Tariffs announced on Saturday will be paused for a 30 day period to see whether or not a final Economic deal with Canada can be structured. FAIRNESS FOR ALL!"
That's the last line from Trump's post on truth.. It was never about Fentanyl. No one in the White House cares about dead junkies. Almost every time he talks about the fentanyl crisis.. he slips in something about trade.. dairy, banks, etc..
Doesn't a person have to be elected to a seat to sit in the house of commons? While Carney could be the party leader another Liberal would have to vacate his / her seat to allow a by-election to occur, letting Carney take office.Maybe. Are they electing the next leader or the current leader? The rules say "the leader" so presumably current. There doesn't appear to be anything in the rules related to resignation or vacancy though. Afaik, JT has only said that he would vacate in the future but hasn't officially filed any paperwork to hold him to that.
"v. the first leadership contestant to receive more than 50% of the pointsallocated on any national count is selected as the Leader."
Ignatieff revisited? How'd that work out?
While typically PM is an MP, that is not a requirement. Carney is eligible as an outsider.Doesn't a person have to be elected to a seat to sit in the house of commons? Considering the present Liberal popularity that would be like pulling the goalie when you've already got two players in the penalty box.
