Bye bye JT….

Where he proceeded to insult them and tell them to step off his lawn. Granted, I didn't watch the whole speech.

The vampire squid reference came from a Rolling Stone article on Goldman-Sachs and the other banks that were involved in the 2007 liquidity crash. Anyone that can work for those companies and invest billions of dollars in rental properties on an industrialised basis, which he did for Brookfield, is not your friend. But like other people who vote Liberal, if he's on your team, I guess you can overlook the fact that he has no intention to do anything at all that will benefit you.
I have never voted liberal. The thought of it makes me sick. But I've liked Carney for over 15 years. Maybe Goldman-Sachs would have done better if he was there in 2007. He was busy doing a great job in Canada at the time. During his daily show interview he actually gives pretty good reasoning for his policy differences at the time in that the Canadian Banks wanted to do the same thing as Goldman Sachs and it did not make economic sense and he told them no.

He was hired at Brookfield to make them money and that's what he did. I've also bought a rental property in the last year because I feel it is a good investment. His job wasn't public service. He is very successful at whatever high level job he steps into, specifically with money. He is the closest thing that could possibly swing me.

I've never liked Pierre Poilievre even before I knew his name and he was just a greasy looking dork in the HOC that I felt was bringing down the Conservative brand. You look at what Carney has accomplished in his career and then consider that Poilievre has made voting ID requirements more strict. That's the entirety of his accomplishments. The only re-deeming thing that keeps me on the fence is that small government is a big priority for me and I do trust that Poilievre can send that in the right direction and Carney will goin the wrong direction.

My concern with the maybe new boss, is going to be the same old thing but in a different package. He will tax tax tax cause thats what liberals do, spend and tax. I guess none of us are getting out alive.

thats what liberals do, spend and tax
... and the conservatives... what?... redeem and rebate?

The lib's are just better at it... well... at least have more practice at it.

Canadian GDP
Canadian Prime Ministers
If you look at the graph, over that last 65 years, the only conservative that had real growth was Dief (if you weren't making money in the early '60s; you were doing something wrong) (and anybody the conservatives got is NO Diefenbaker, do the modern conservative know WHO Deif was or what he did?) most of the low spots on the graph line up with conservative governments.
Keynesian economics says tax and spend is good for the economy... and that graph seems to bear that out.
If you mapped US GDP, I think you'll find the same pattern

That wasn't my point. My point is that is the type of greedy oligarch that the Left-leaning claim to hate. Rich, egotistical, out-of-touch, extravagant, privileged and connected with others like him. Yet here we are, seeing praise for him - because he's on THEIR team. If this guy was a Conservative, they'd (you'd) be tearing your hair out and yelling at the clouds.

Now, as for his accomplishments, let's cover a few topics:
- Harper veto'd his contributions when he worked for the central bank
- Harper's policies carried Canada through the crash, not so much Carney
- Carney's performance in the UK is not considered positive by anyone honest
- In fact, multiple UK economists and politicians have spoken up in WARNING CANADA about Carney
- Carney is so extravagant that he complained loudly about the housing he was given in the UK (equiv. cost of $35k/mo)
- then there's working for the Vampire Squids of the world, the most uncaring and banal of institutions

This guy is literally the worst thing that could happen to Canada again. Over-hyped, cunning, he's a Net-Zero evangelist, his book says that personal freedoms must be pulled from citizens to meet climate goals, etc.

I'm not gonna hear how great he is from anyone. He's not, he's the worst possible choice for the job, unless you want all of Trudeau's policies and all his corruption to take off like a rocket with all the safety valves wired closed. That's what you'll get.

Here's the opinion of the former President of the Liberal Party:

Sure sounds to me like you're leaving plenty out. I mean, he IS the current leader of the CPC. I'd call just that alone an accomplishment.

I just read that “outsider” Mark Carney now has the public endorsement of three of Justin’s groomsmen from his wedding party. Wow! sounds like some big changes are coming our way.
Has the babysitter endorsed someone yet?

Why if jughead and Trudy are making back door deals, is not parliament open for business so the public can have a say when they vote

Well somehow they have managed to spend billions and donate thousands of acres of prime GTA land while parliament was prorogued. If you kill parliament, that should also end your authority to make long-term decisions. Talk about lighting fires on your way out.

Juggie just made an announcement this morning that he will NOT vote no-confidence now.

If I was an NDP member right now, I'd be making some VERY angry phone calls.

and the circus continues.

The citizens and future of the country aren't even in the top ten list of his priorities.

His own constituents aren't in his top ten. They're not allowed into his constituency office. It's been closed for months with a sign on the door with a phone number to call if you have an issue.

You can call all you want…they don’t care.
They sure don't, because today he was saying again that he will bring down the government at first opportunity.

Please, someone make this make sense.
