I’ve met Conrad Back a number of times, he was a really nice intelligent guy. In a previous life I worked for a large electrical contractor and every year I got sent to his home at Christmas with another electrician and a bucket truck to decorate this giant pine tree in front of his house with 2600 bulbs. He was always very pleasant and made sure his chef brought us out a constant supply of coffee and fresh baked cookies for the two and a half days that we were there. I can’t confirm this but I overheard one of his staff say that the house was 20,000 square feet. Not sure if that’s true but it was a pretty nice place.A few years later when he was in financial/ legal difficulty he sold the place to one of his holding companies and continued to live there.He seemed like the kind of guy that had an arsenal of lawyers and accountants on speed dial to get around those kinds of problems.

They should be forced to swallow fishhooks for the partial truth of not saying "We will spend $XX Billion of money we took out of your pockets to fund project snowflake."
