Polls have been garbage for decades. They are propaganda machines designed to influence election results and have little correlation to reality. You can find four recent polls that show con majority, lib majority, lib minority and con minority. Complete lies and structured to get the answer they want.
 
PP has been notably quiet with the recent events and annexation mongering from the US.

Seems to be his whole platform was JT bad…now that JT is on his way out, his whole platform disappeared and he’s become very quiet.

Talking now is dangerous. Trump is rampaging around. Libs will be pushing PP as Trump-lite hard in their propaganda. We still aren't in an election campaign. I think he's smart to stay mostly quiet and avoid accidentally stepping on a landmine.

Douggie should learn from him. He's not invincible and he has made a couple missteps ("I don’t even give them 25 years—I send them right to Sparky, and then we’ll take care of everything from there,” he said while talking about home invaders"). Get the wrong thing on the record and that gives opponents something to dig into and sink you.

While I agree. There’s strong patriotism push going on right now here at home…would be smart to use that momentum as the Libs are gaining fast and Carney is basically a shoe in for the leadership.

I don't know if they are gaining. Remember pollsters are highly paid to reinforce an agenda. By strategically picking people to respond and phrasing questions properly, you can sway the results. PP ran his Canada-first party yesterday. I haven't looked into what that was.
 
I have a few friends that have never voted liberal in their lives , but if it came to Carney vs PP , they would be hard pressed to vote against Carney . I’ve never voted liberal in my life , but I consider PP an idiot and Carney is a really smart guy . I’d struggle .

I watched the video. He speaks of authoritarianism and nilhilism on the left. I see that very clearly with trump down south. What are the concrete examples of it in the left up here.

I don’t take it that way. Tearing things down is in the context of curbing speech, removing rights and freedoms, tearing way the basics of responsibility, reward for effort, identity over individual rights (DEI), capture and control of media and education, absolutism view and controls on ideology (blocking pipelines , carbon tax) are a few things that pop into my head.
 
It comes down to a fellow that runs around saying axe the tax and build the houses . Is it really that easy? I mean the genius involved in making up rhymes like carbon tax Carney, well shite that’s just brilliant work. Eminem got rich off that ability,

I think boiling down messages is a good way to communicate if you can do it. I call it empathetic mastery, finding simple statements that show you can seen issues thru the eyes of the everyday Canadian.

They are going to focus on the relationship or distance themselves? That is the key to winning or losing this race. I don't even know which way is the winner or loser as both have giant issues and will invoke strong feelings from segments of the population.

As I see it the items in bold are going on right now down south. I don't see them as starkly up here.

I think he’s likely trying to figure out how to manage a relationship with Trump before he’s full pivot.

Despite Canadians disdain for Trump, if PP can convince Canadians he can work with the US, by not selling out and not caving in, he goes back to Slam dunk.

Carney is a threat to PP. I also see him as a threat to Canada.
