Best Compliment?

I ride a Night Rod Special, something pretty different than what you usually see on the street, so it gets a lot of attention. I get lots of the usual leaning out of cars, thumbs up at lights, etc. Sometimes people will just come up while I'm gearing up and ask, and of course the usual seeing people circle my bike when it's parked.

Best one was last night, though - pulled into a gas station to fill up, and a guy pulls in after me, parks the car, and gets out of the car to talk to me. He saw me riding, thought my bike was sick, and wanted to ask me what it was, so he said, "I hope that guy pulls into the gas station". When he saw that I did, he actually followed me in just to ask about the bike.

just googled it and it does look sick.

You should check out the Hard Rod III, that's one sick ride.

Googled Hard Rod III....this is one of the first pictures that came up:

Would not ride....sorry bro

That sounds sooo wrong....i will have to put safe search on before looking that one up.

Have to admit the vrods are my favourites, being liquid cooled and having a balance between low end tourque and top end power.

I just realized you are a girl and i'm so confused... lol!

kidding! your avatar didn't give much away. and for all this time i thought it was a handsome young guy...:sad1: big miss on this.

Ummmm that's me :D

LOL, I hate it when they ask this, such a stupid question. "Nah bro, it's slow"

Another question you get a million times on an SS. "How many CC's?"

My favorite is when I rode past some kids and they started yelling "Do a wheeelieee!!" lol......not really a compliment though.

Lol, had a server at All Stars talking to a few of us about our bikes.. finds out I have a GSXR, first question
"Is it a 1000?"
... "Nah, 750".
"Ohhh sweet. My bf had a 600 but it was chipped so it kept up with 750s."
"yeah cool, can we get the bill now?"

My boss's nephew always liked checking out my cool toys over the years. He's 15 now and I was over there on my R1 the other day. He heard me pull up (put a straight baffle in the stock pipes the other day), and he came running out. He asked me how much power at the wheel (great kid, lol), what mods, am I going to be putting nitrous on it? (cause I do every other vehicle I own), and I was telling him how I can re-flash the ECU's. Right as I was telling him about being able to remove the 300kph top speed limiter his father ran outside and picked him up by the ears, yelling at him "I told you, you're not allowed to talk to Jamie, EVER!".

As the kid was getting dragged away he was screaming "when I get ungrounded you're taking me for a ride!" lol.

They're all pretty generic compliments and imo none of them count unless the gear's off. Being a biker's generally badass or sexy, so it's pretty easy to get your head gassed. Guys think it's badass and girls think it's sexy.

Compliments about riding a 250 well mean more to me than ones about looking good on it

Have you guys ever give a little kid frantically waving at you a thumbs up? It makes their day lol

& lmao...too easy: :p

I could not ride on the back of a girls bike... Just not happening.

.

When I was about 14 I was waiting for a street car and a buddy's 18 YO sister came along on her scooter. She was really cute and nice enough to give me a ride. I held on tight.

Re compliments

Up here several "Nice bike"s
In West Virginia "Shore is a nass baak"
From a cute cousin "Nice bike. Too bad you're my cousin"

Back in the day....wayyyyyy back in the day my first bike red and white 1999 R6!

Day 2 of me owning it I came home early from work and started shining it up. Waiting for the rest of the crew to come home so they can take me out to practice some more. Itching to ride I decided to take it around the block. So I go for about 5 minutes and these kids were shouting "sick bike...holy $hhhhiietttt that's a sick bike!!" Acting all cool I nodded and turned left......and then BAM!!!!

I went wide and hit a parked car...bike was phucked all wedged in the trunk of a black sunfire.

Kids: "What the F happened?"

LOL LOL

I will never forget that day....

Ok, I stand corrected... Now that I think of it a bit more. I just wouldn't out right ask, but I guess most of that has to do with the fact I would rather just both of us go on our own bikes.

Had a kid today, about 3 years old walking out of Walmart, I was at my bike putting on my gloves. Kid sees the bike, says "mom! bike!" and stops, mom prompted to run him over with the shopping cart by accident. Made sure I rode by their car when I left, gave him a wave and a little rev, probably made him forget about being run over.

Had some kid staring at me from the back of his parent's station wagon on the Gardiner once at speed, threw up the horns to him and without hesitation he threw them right back

on a serious note last week i got some digits from a girl that worked at a hair salon she was out havin a smoke... and she liked the bike..

and no she was not fat !!!! JINNIWIND :)

probably why i havent used the number yet. lolol

My kids were playing "super heroes" the other day and I heard them yell, "to the ducati's!!!" :p

I have this one very cool uncle. Tough as ****, used to ride. Think Sam Elliot in any of his cooler acting parts. Even has the big handle bar moustache. He was over at my place for a big party we had and he asks to take my duc out. A week later I am talking to him and he tells me how he went into work and said to the guys "guess what I did on the weekend" and bragged about riding a ducati to them. I always looked up to him when I was a kid and it felt really good hearing him brag about my bike to his friends.

from an old guy at a timmy: "Where is the air condition on this thing?"
from a chick at a red light: "I want a rid on your bike!!!"
