Best Compliment?

I can't post pics on this site any more for some reason.

here's a pic I took of it and posted on a fan page. Sure people who are fans of my bike within online groups may like it but on the road I've only gotten insults really (i don't care much anyhow). Even my friends cringe and beg me to buy a new bike. Of course they dont ride and relate the only reason to own a bike is to get laid.

wow she's even older than me. shouldn't she sit in the garage and becomes a collectable?

Traffic Jam on the 400 between Toronto & Barrie. It was my first time seeing a Tesla Roadster so I asked the guy what kind of car it was. He commented back saying that's a sweet 600. I laughed and told him it was just a 250 ninja. He replied with "Damn, I would have never known!"

ya for some reason my friend and I who both ride ninja 250s get the same thing from time to time. I'm not sure but maybe because the design is pretty aggressive and looks like a big bike?

I figured you were a girl from the Shoei helmet in your avatar, but you can never be too sure these days...

Agreed. how can i make sure you are a guy behind the screen but not a monkey... Lol totally joking lol!

Next time you go to lnl let me know.

Three last night:

- To Rogers near Bloor & Runnymede to switch my set-top box. Jam the PVR in my top case and decide to pause for a cigarette. Realize there is a guy, mid-60s to early 70s in a white apron, standing just behind to my right staring at my bike. Awkward pause. Is he thinking "damn punks! I wish I had my meat cleaver so I could run them off my street!!"? I glance again and smile a bit sheepishly, scanning for sharp metal object. Suddenly he breaks his gaze, looks me right in the eye, and says "I loooove the sound of the engines on those BMW bikes". He proceeded to tell me about his friend who used to own one and we chatted for a few minutes. Think he is the proprietor of Astra Deli on Bloor West. Have to go try the corned beef there one day.

- 45 minutes later - Yonge north of Eglinton. A limo driver and I are parked side by side at a red light. He yells at me, but his voice is muffled through the helmet and the purr of the bike. I ask him to repeat. "What size engine is it?" he yells through the open passenger window. The light turns green. "800" I say. "Niiiiice!". Just then I hear the shrill of a sport bike revving high, then feel a whoosh of air as some dimwit riding squid passes right between us in my lane. See my rant in "I Saw You".

- Another 15 minutes later - Yonge north of Sheppard. I am riding light to light in the centre lane with a small Honda (I think) cage to my right. Not really taking notice but watching the headlines as I quickly accelerate to 60kms and run ahead, then he catches me at the next intersection. After about 5 stops, while waiting, I glance over to see a guy, late 20s, looking over at me. "I like your bike". "Thanks :)"

My wife says I now know how a woman feels, when the first thing a guy notices at is not your face.

Right after I got my 1980 GS1100e, and it was completely stock, I pulled up to a gas station somewhere in north york, and the attendant - an East Indian guy - said; that's a great bike man, half of Indian movies were shot using these. We talked a bit and had a good laugh.

The other night a group of peeps (bike enthusiasts) walking up Bathurst north of King were giving me big props for the vintage steel. One of the girls came up with a hug - it was late at night - and another girl hopped on the bike in front of me, grabbed the throttle and maxed it! Me and her friends kinda had to slowly remove her from the bike :D Again, we all had a good laugh

prior 08 250 ninja's had smaller rims and were shorter, side by side the new 250 looks like a 500+ beside it which is why is much more appealing. the only give away is the tiny back tire. everyone who took their m2 at the mto when i let my dad take my bike thought it was a 600 to 750 and i get asked a lot if it's a 600. i wouldn't say it's more of an aggressive design, but a bigger bike for sure

Wait to see how you feel when a guy notices your face first and lets you know it.

Well, considering gay men and straight women roughly idealize the same physical features, I would take it as a compliment I guess. What's the problem?

What's the problem?

No problem but you're missing the point. The first time it happens you're a deer in the headlights, you're not programmed with a set of ready responses. The complimented thought comes after your brain adjusts to the new form of stimulus.

Incorrect. Gay men usually prefer better built dudes than woman allow themselves to accept.
