Working out! Fitness! Nutrition!

Any of you guys ship your bicycles to wherever you're traveling? I want to take it around the world, but not only is it a hassle, it doesn't seem cost effective.

I'd rather ride MY bicycle than rent one because I built it specifically to take a beating without sacrificing too much speed. Any experience with hard cases, shipping the package beforehand/assembling the bike, or flying with it?

It seems like overkill to get a rental just so I can have my bike in NY

Also, shoutout to invictus43 for helping me out with the bike build/research process

No experience with it personally, but I know a guy that does it. He's been able to check it as oversize baggage before. Not sure if he's ever shipped it to himself.

A couple of friends of mine traveled Asia on their cheap Canadian tire bikes. They chose those bikes since the parts were just generic parts that could be found basically anywhere.
They had a little tool kit that had exactly the tools they needed to re-assemble the bikes plus for whatever repairs they would need to do, and essentially took the bikes apart to the level of where they fit in to the shipping boxes they originally come in and checked them in to oversize baggage.

Both bikes did a trip through a few countries and they still ride them to work when the weather is nice, about 8 years later... Not bad for a cheapo CCM!

Lucky , since doing crossfit for almost 4 months now, my arms have gotten more jacked, making most of my shirts too tight, and I gained 10lbs :( why must I weigh so much more then most woman.

I ran into that problem last summer..... then I couldn't find a shirt that fit properly. My arms needed a 16.5 dress shirt but the rest of me only needed a 15 :p

I toned down on the muscle building and stuck to free weights/toning. I don't need to do any heavy lifting, so don't need the muscle mass I had before lol

Official 'morning weight' after 3 weeks is now 162 lbs (from 175). Now I can keep the usual 5K in 30 minutes two-three times a week (I was doing this 6 times a week until now) with weights in between to get me up to 165'ish AND so I don't sag. lol

I'm barely any taller than you but I'm bigger than Roasted apparently :p

If you're really 235 lbs and 13% bf than yeah, you're bigger than me. I'm hovering around 215 lbs now and probably 10-ish %.

PS: If I read the word "tone" one more time in this thread I'm gonna snap. As soon as someone mentions the word "toning" I stop listening to them cause I automatically know that they have no clue what the hell they're talking about or they think I'm stupid......either way, the conversation is over.

Nope, it royally pisses me off even more, because it gets thrown around a lot in regards to women's fitness. "Strength" and "muscle" are apparently dirty words when talking to women. Instead, use the word "tone" so that you don't scare them into thinking that lifting anything heavier than 5lbs will turn them into the She-Hulk.

It's so funny cause it's so true.

I wouldn't be surprised if we lift around the same. Most of my significant lean muscle is in my legs.

Haha ok so we better set them straight now. Listen up.

There is no such thing as tone. How you look is a function of 2 things. And two things only. First thing is bodyfat percentage. And second thing is muscle mass. So it's pretty obvious that at the same weight, more muscle mass will mean lower bodyfat percentage and thus better looking. If I see the word tone used in this thread from hence forth, we will have to sick Sabex onto you. May god have mercy on your anus.

Yeah they gave this guy a spot in the guinness record book. He's a major Synthol abuser. Doesn't get anymore obvious.

He's gonna regret it later in life when his arms end up looking like a soggy mess.

Meh....wasn't going to post this here but I'm bored. First time ever recording a vid at the gym:

Light weight baby. :D Not bad for the week after being in Mexico on vacation and not working out at all for 8 days.
