I think these images somewhat reasonably dipict what 12% body fat looks like. If you have visible lovehandles, you might be higher than you think. What sort of measurement did you use to come up with 12%?

Also, 3800 calories is not much at all for a guy your size.. What does your daily meal plan look like?

You guys are some lightweight eaters man.

Ever go to an Indian food buffet, AYCE Sushi or even Mandarin? You could do 4000 calories in one meal. Try Hot House cafe's sunday brunch to get your calories up. Friggin awesome.

I said around 12%, I was using calipers so I take it with a grain of salt. I still have tone and definition, I can just feel a little excess in my stomach/glutes. I notice them, my gf doesn't. Based on the pic I'd say I'm closer to 15% than 12%.

When I bulk I *should* be doing almost 4800 per day. I can't do it. I can do an indian buffet or sushi (growing up with an indian mother) but that will fill me for the day and I'll bloat.

I would rather not eat 4K calories of Saturdated fats and not much else. I know, I know, this is coming from someone who eats Timmies breakfast sandwiches almost daily so I'm a bit hypocritical. Still though, 4K calories is a lot if it's not pure **** food. I did I.F. for a bit and had to eat 3300 cals clean in about a 6 hour window every day and it was very tough and I can eat A LOT.

Here is what my fat *** looks like now BTW.....K about a month ago, but not much has changed:

Being shredded in the fall/winter is overrated. Fat mode engaged!
 
+1 for Curry.

If you have trouble with your appetite, I can see how it may be hard to sit down and eat a big meal when you aren't hungry but there are other easier more palatable ways to get those calories.

For protein, obviously its easy to just drink shakes if you don't feel like eating. Dried fruit and nuts are an easy way to get a lot of calories as well. Granted, with dried fruit you'd be eating a lot of fructose which is not so good and many nuts/seeds are a little overrated and high on the Omega 6 to Omega 3 ratio, but nonetheless they are very potent calorie wise and easy to throw down.

Pick up a big bag of dried Phillipine Mango and a bag Phillipine dried sweetened Coconut chunks from Costco, get some Macadamian nuts and some walnuts and get busy. Mix it up and eat throughout the day. You could probably get another 2000 calories a day this way and it would be easy to put down.

So I guess you are not a fan of Bulletproof Coffee?

I think its an issue of how good of an appetite the dude has. If he can put down a lot of food than of course it'd be best to construct a clean meal plan and just increase the quantites of each component but I imagine that may be hard to do and so to get around a weak appetite and to get calories up, the compromise may be to dirty up the diet a bit and make things more palatable by eating some of the crappy stuff. I wouldn't do it mostly because eating those bad foods is not ideal for optimal health, but then again niether is bulking up for mass.
 
Funny how my sis calls me "the tornado" for the way I eat and here I'm being accused of a "weak appetite" lol. To be honest I think my biggest weakness eating wise is LAZINESS and not appetite. I just don't enjoy preparing the food. I don't enjoy sitting there for hours eating either hence why I'm probably one of the fastest eaters you'll ever meet. I'm usually done eating by the time other people finish unpacking theirs.

Oh and I can't remember the last time I've even bought butter. That coffee sounds kinda disgusting, though I'd be willing to try it. :D

Nah man, don't take the "weak appetite" thing as any type of hatin'!. I suppose my standard is a little high. The people I am surrounded with probably set the bar quite high so I think my perception is a little skewed. My old man and my brother are both 250lb and my other brother is 300lbs. All heavy eaters. Lean with a six pack, I am around 215lb but I've gone all the way up to 283lb when I was younger trying to get big and around Xmas time, I let things go wild and get easily pack on 30lbs no worries. One of my good friends is as athletic as they come, an amazing martial artist and at about 160-170lb can outeat me on many days. We've had burrito eating competitions and its staggering at the sheer poundage that gets consumed.

Try the coffee with coconut oil instead of butter....

I find if I add coconut oil/flour to my diet I drop lbs like no tomorrow...

I only work out on 2 occasions....when it's my birthday....and when it's not my birthday.
 
For the people that hate eating (including me), have you ever thought about just blending your food and drinking it? I had strep throat last week and had to blend my food as a result of it. Measured my carbs, added some chicken, threw in some veggies, then blended. I drank my meal and I was done in minutes (I'm a pretty quick eater, too).

Are there any drawbacks to this? It seems too good to be true. Do nutrients get lost this way? (I find that a bit hard to imagine since it'd be like chewing it).
