As far as I know UCI hasn't done anything yet. The USADA said they are stripping his titles and banning him for life which doesn't mean jack **** imo. I can't blame the guy for giving up. The USADA decided early on he was guilty regardless of the evidence. What a farce.

But I agree, it's a farce. I'm not really sure how they can ban him when he's never tested positive. A bunch of people could say things about him, true, but I don't bevleve it's even under oath. Kangaroo court really. Like I say, who do they give the Tour wins to? I suppose they should just stop keeping track of who wins and it can be a fun Tour with no money involved...

The USADA has nothing to do with his International victories. The UCI is going to strip him of his wins. They tend to do a bit of navel gazing before pulling the trigger on anything. Then the US government is going to go after him as the team leader of the US Postal Service team. It was written in their contract in big bold letters, NO DRUGS. The feds work by a different set of rules with their "employees". Look for Lance to be writing a nice big cheque to cover the fines/reimbursement monies.
He did test positive. A 6 figure cheque written to some bogus anti doping group smoothed that over.

What's dishonorable is Jim Ochowicz threatening Greg LeMond that he'd reveal info that he was molested as a child if he testified before congress. Luckily there is some honour left in the sport. Greg told him to bite the big one then had a press conference to announce that he had indeed been molested and would not be intimidated by Ochowicz's bullying tactics. There's a man that has my respect. Nice guy with a wicked sense of humour, too.

Look at the pic of him. He told me that's what he should look like (although he said he needs ot get out on the bike more). He said what he looked like in the 80s when he was winning wasn't natural and that's as far as he would go. He doesn't lie and said he didn't dope. He just says everyone dopes. Period.

Yeah, I have to say, others have at least come clean and tried to reconcile. They all did dope..Armstrong is just such an arrogant SOB that he could never admit to it.
Stopped at a red light, just where the DVP exits onto Bloor. Clenched my buttcheeks when I watched a bicyclist run the red and turn left. I can give them a wide berth on my motorcycle, but one day I'm not going to be able to dodge their suicidal behaviour driving a car/truck.

I T boned a red light running cyclist with my SS once. Managed to drop enough speed, down to say 30kph. I had him by the collar in a flash after we both got up, and lectured this guy 8 years my senior like a child for running the red. He ended up paying me £1700 in damages to my bike and gear on legal threats and fear of me telling his wife alone. Reported to the cops that same night and they said. "We dont need his details, running the red is almost legal, too many pedestrians do it. You wont win in court either." When I asked if they have to obey the rules of the road the cop responded "not really".
That was in the UK where under the then Mayor of London, Ken Livingston, and his green crusade, biker arrogance was climbing through the roof!
Plates, licenses, and insurance should be mandatory to use the road and play in the big leagues! Otherwise keep your wheels under 24" and use the sidewalk!

That guy's a world class prick. All the cyclists he smoked out were obeying the rules and keeping single file to the far left as much as possible. If someone was to shoot him in the face I'd laugh hysterically while p*****g on his corpse.

I live in Milton and used to live up on the escarpment, its mecca for the Mississauga, Oakville road weenies and the sponsored teams are the worst. I cycle, I get that average joe has worked all day and wants to go home, not drive 20k behind a group 3 wide on a twisty road where a pass could put everybody at risk.
Just like 5% of motorcyclists make the rest look bad, same deal with road cylists. Hundreds on a weekend having a great time and 15 idiots f it up for the day.

I love riding my fixed gear bikes downtown, I feel much safer down there than once you get outside the core and the traffic opens up and cars speed up. Being brushed up on by a car doing 80 isnt fun.
