who's still riding? (in toronto)

I usually ride until mid Nov. I store her in Niagara, so I always have one more ride of the season from downtown. Last year I put the bike away on Nov 11th and it was 14°C out. As long as it stays above 5°C I'm happy. I'm going to ride it out as long as possible this year. I even had the wife out to tour around the city yesterday. It was a little chilly, but as long as you dress in layers you should be ok. The only thing that I have his thick gloves to keep the chill out.

Still riding. Will be until the salters decided to salt my daily commute route.

I like to keep my stock fender, what are some other ways to avoid 407 charges??

Bend over and use your hand.

yeah.... one guy actually told me he could it it.... I just rolled my eyes and pretend he said something.

Still riding til the car gets fixed

I'm in the same boat... while it sux when a brake line explodes, at least I was able to ride to work last weekend. Heat wasn't an issue, as I splurged on the bank's dime and got the Joe Rocket 12.0 jacket and 10.0 pants, along with a union suit. I learned a lot about riding in sub-optimal (to say the least) conditions, and while I don't think I'm Superman, I have learned that the limits I thought I had were just mental. I still will not ride in a thunderstorm, and I really need to order another set of the plastic liners for the pants. The ones I have now ripped in the crotch, and the boys got soaked in the rain.

I heard if you go through either the entrance or exit ramp cameras going something like 240km/h+, it'll miss you. (Not joking) Or you can always wheelie....

Saw 3 bikes on St. Clair Ave yesterday and then this morning some guy on what I think was a CBR250R weaving through traffic like a maniac on the 401W this morning near the 427S exit. Surprised he was willing to cut so close to the cars with no signals when it's -1 out. I wouldn't trust my tires that much.

Anyway, point is, still lots of people on the roads.

Layers. Layers > Single Thickness

My hands would still freeze. I need some heated gloves or something. Rest of me would be fine, I think, but I've only braved down to about -9 and that was by mistake (I thought it was only -2 or something but my coworkers were amazed when they saw me walk in). I thought my hands seemed a little more numb than usual.
