Driveway is clear, road is clear...it's that damn ice between....
I was thinking of doing a moto version of the polar bear swim today but got distracted with a Happy New Year! thread and lesser things. Maybe next year.
Just over a week to Friday the 13th.
Who's riding to Port Dover.
Long range forecast is for sunny and -4.
So who's riding today?
Me! A nice 3 hour ride today. Booted around Keswick, Queensville, Sharon, Newmarket, then stopped for a coffee to warm my chin (forgot my balaclava), then back to Keswick. Best ride in a while, I was singing and dancing and screaming just for fun. Got some pretty funny looks today! So who's riding today?

My chain does NOT like the salt. Forgot to clean it after my ride a few weeks ago and the surface rust is real. Need a new one this season anyway, 22k on it now.
Even if it doesn't a little surface rust doesn't make a chain trash. Mostly just doesn't look nice. I mean it's not ideal but it's not the end of the world..
Shouldnt the lube/wax protect it anyways?
Its just surface rust, nothing major. But the chain adjustment indicator on my swingarm is in the "red" zone, and there's 4 or 5 sticky kinks in the chain now. I was always told that around 20k is the normal lifespan for an o-ring chain
