The wind was too much yesterday. Even with the mild temp.

We were up in the Peterborough area visiting family last night and drove through that storm on the way home. In all my years I don't think I ever drove for such a long period of time with the windshield wipers on high speed.

On top of that the fog was crazy until we got about 30 minutes down the 35/115.

You make it sound twice as bad. Lol. Happy New Year.

It was ....you should see the traffic reports to the east and the one above....was quite happy to stay home
Traffic jams on the 401 were horrendous.

It's too bad it was kinda windy and cloudy today because after all the rain the roads are spotless here now. Had it been sunny and somewhere in the zero-5c range I'd have been out in a heartbeat.

Too bad about the weather. If it was better I'd a been out. Riding.

It's kinda nice out right now and the roads are spotless... I do think I shall go for a scoot!

Uhm, i hear there were lots of car crashes last night (in b town no less) including a 40 car collision on the 410, some tractor trailers on mississauga rd, a uhaul hitting a red light and going into a ditch.

Be safe...or better yet stay in

There was a short but nasty period of freezing rain last evening. I was out in that, running an errand in my car. I think the pile-up was on 427 near 401 but there could have been more than one.

The rain and melts of the last little bit have indeed left a fair amount of clear road but it has also left patches of now-frozen runoff trailing across the road in areas that might go unnoticed until the last second. Be careful if you go out...

Went out for 30-45 mins. I stayed on the main roads and they were spotless out here, nothing anything further than a few inches from the curb, and certainly nothing that was of any concern to a properly observant rider. What happened last night (which was little more than a dusting if granular snow out here) was long gone and I wasn't concerned.

I was out for 30-45 minutes, got about 50K or so on. No complaints - glad I went out while the sun was out, it was nice - not so nice since it clouded over.

Next up...January!

No doubt about that. I went out for a stroll and all the melting snow/ice from the day earlier had refrozen as a very thin layer of black ice--everywhere. Sidewalks, steps, curbs and roads. Nasty stuff. Only the over-salted areas were reasonably safe. No visible change to anybody's driving habits through.

Very nice, I am jealous. The roads are dry here but just completely white with wet patches, I still ain't riding on that. Need a solid above zero rain shower to clear the salt and I would go for a boot. Forecast is not looking too hopeful again either. I'm really getting the itch.

We had super heavy torrential rain (for an extended period, at that) out here on Boxing Day and it did a fine job of scouring the roads clean - even the side streets are clear for the most part. Coupled with the beautiful sunny morning it was ideal, short of the temperatures...but it wasn't even that bad with the sun beating down on me honestly.

It felt good to get out for a bit. Last ride before today was Nov 29'th, so it'd been 4 weeks.

+2c I can run the garden hose to flush aircraft paint stripper into the rose bushes. LOL, I don't have a rose bed. Riding? Not so much. Time and place, people.
