Which car. Any car enthusiasts here?

LOL just read this thread pretty identical opinions on cars.

My wife and I just ordered a 2015 Golf to replace our current 08 WRX. We will be offering the 08 WRX for sale safetied and etested with new rotors for $15,000 (105,000km)

That's the 224 hp version with no sun roof and softer suspension, correct?

I finally have an agreed upon offer of $17650 on my 09 265hp version but that includes about $1200 worth of custom rally rims with winter tires. It's pending an inspection though so we'll see what happens.

Correct the sleeper version built early 08 which is also known to not have the ring land issues that plague the 09-11's. If it doesn't sell then our VW dealer will be taking it on trade. It's been fully dealer serviced at Downtown Subaru then through Barrie Subaru. I just feel bad trading it in when someone else could reap the benefits of above average maintenance.

Nothing good ever comes out of Brampton lol. Not taking any shots at who ever lives there, but I'm just saying from past experience.

Well after my original list of cars, I went a whole different route from my first post.

Purchased a CPO from BMW... 2009 328i xDrive sedan dealer installed packages include: premium package + premium sound package + sport package with just under 80,000km with 1 year warranty remaining up to 160,000km which ever comes first.

I feel like it was a bit expensive, more than what my original budget was, but I guess I feel a bit better knowing it's a certified pre owned from the BMW stealership. I almost bought same model from sketchy GTA used car dealerships and would have saved maybe $2000, but damn those sketchy used car lots are so sketchy lol!

Audi mainenance is high compared to the others,
you cant go wrong with the acura.
Your best bet is the Lexus. But do urself. a favour... IF u do.decide to get the is250... dont test drive a 350.
It makes the 250 feel like a 4 cyl.
as for the smooth Lexus ride, my brother has an 06 is350 w/ 120k on it.. it rides very smooth. very

Go for the Lexus! and if u dont mind losing some gas mileage and paying a bit extra.. buy a 350! You won't regret it

Funny thing is... after I test drove the is250 in 6spd manual. I test drove a 350 and knew that I didnt want an is250 anymore LOL

But yah dude. I already made my purchase lol look above 2 posts!

Oh right on, Congrats on the purchase
also, when buying a car check this site out
"Vmrcanada.com" ... its a pretty fair price guide

Hmm wish I found this website before hand.

Is the whole sale value of a used car from the dealership or am is it the retail value that dealerships go by?

dealers sell for retail.. or higher (depending on the car ofc)
but if u were to be buying a car off kijiji or wherever, a fair price would be between wholesale/retail.
and yes, that wholesale price is what the dealer would pay.. maybe even less

Hmm interesting, I was thinking I got raped at the dealership. But I only ended up paying $2000 more from the suggested retail price.

But oh well, this has been a stressful month LOL car shopping aint easy!!!

I hate it the most wen after I made a purchase I check on kijiji or autotrader and see the similar car for cheaper!!! happens everytime AFTER I buy a car

That is a little on the high side but not so bad.
Buying with confidence is key though, even if you overpaid a bit
Treat the car well and it'll treat u well too

and also, cars for sale on kijiji... its a mission finding a solid vehicle
ESPECIALLY Japanese ones, They are beat on the most.
Just cause its cheaper doesnt mean its better:P
I learned that lesson the hard way

Well they had it marked up $5000 above the suggested retail. And I ended up "getting a good deal" according to the sales person lol. It took a lot of back n fourth but I ended up knocking $3000 off.
