What did you do to your track/race bike today

Depending on the fluid you were using, that could have been your issue. I used a standard DOT 4 and I had to bleed between sessions, racing DOT 4 I could get 1/2 the day but a master would have fixed the issue and got me under 1:20 for sure :)

Maybe. Speaking of which, I have Motul RBF660 in right now, how often am I supposed to flush it out and replace with new?

Total rebleed on brakes. Way better!
I just have the PrestoneDot4 in right now, thinking I should order some Motul....

Yes, a new master would be nice, and new calipers. But I need extra rims, race fairings, suspension etc as well.

Change fluid a couple times a season?

I personally do a full flush at the beginning of the season and then just bleed the calipers after each weekend. I bring fluid and a hose with a bottle to the track just incase. I'm sure once or twice a season is plenty but I don't need fade with 3 laps to go chasing/being chased so I over kill it.

Exactly my question. As far as I know the racing brake fluid degrades (or absorbs moisture?!) much faster?

EDIT: nevermind, dricked answered the question.

Ya. Once over the winter and once mid way through the season should be fine.

After my small incident :)

Hand't touch the bike at all, but now i got to get ready for Mosport July 5th and 8th.

So today:
Replaced the Radiator (thanks to Cabosse for selling me one when I had no need for it, I guess that's why they call them spare parts)
The clutch lever adjuster
Put on the new gas tank
Safety wired the hose clamps
Washed the bike

Need to:
Replace the rear wheel with one of the good ones I have
Do some zippy tie masking tape fix to the upper fearing

That's about it

So over the past 2 weeks, I have wired a permanent solution to the missing clutch switch issue, gone to keyless ignition and just got a custom mid pipe made to lose the bulky, heavy mid muffler. Next job is PAIR removal. Then strip away some unneeded wiring.

Shedding weight this way is much more fun than going to the gym.

Ohlins 30mm kit just got installed.

Also, someone is trying to get me to adopt a fresh 190hp factory Kawi motor (along with about half of a 2009 superbike). Hmmmm

Will those parts actually see the track this year? Or are you still in retirement mode ;)

Ahh you don't need that! It'll just cost you more money to run and make you extra angry when you blow it up. Plus you'll have to dial it back for nationals anyway, you'd be fine with 150hp :)

I was debating how big a pain it would be to run two motors. One for SOAR, Shubie and St Mustache and another big boy motor for SMP, Mosport and Tremblant. FWIW Franklin Dominguez was using an ex factory motor for 3 years (it only blew up because someone put diesel in it).
