I would’ve taken it 100%. If they can’t track it properly I’ll happily take shot #2.
Pretty sure it would get flagged when they scanned my health card. There’s supposed to be an announcement ( or an announcement of an announcement) of using what’s left of the AZ that expires on the 31st as second shots today

Got an email and a text from Shoppers today saying they had an opening today for me to get my first shot. Uh, I got my first shot at your store 7 weeks ago. Maybe I should stop by and try to weasel my second. Hey, it’s there in the vial. Jab me!
Same here. Except my first shot was only 17 days ago. No shot 2 for me.

Except if it’s not documented properly as a second shot can you get the paperwork for it without having to get….a third shot?

Given how important proof of both shots looks like it’s going to be in the months (and probably years) ahead I’d want to make sure all the ducks were in a row.

Here's a graphic outlining today's announcement...a lot of it based on percentage of population vaccinated...

We are at 58.4% right now. So we'll hit 60% on Saturday likely. And then we have to wait 3 weeks to advance on from that?

Another 3.5 weeks for a haircut... ugh

In the fine print: Step 1 around June 14. Then three weeks, by the sounds of it.

ENTER INTO STAGE 1 ON JUNE 14TH?!?

FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU
Motorcycle courses might not start until mid July.

StatsCan lists 11,602,992 who are 20 plus.

Ontario lists 7,576,624 vaccines administered, with 473,759 fully vaccinated.

That is 61.2% with at least one dose. But only 4% who are fully vaccinated.

Hair cuts are "personal care services", and require 70% with one dose and 20% fully vaccinated.

We will be waiting a long while for that fully vaccinated number to go up.

I like the way the goverment will put the blame for closures on Vaccination rates . Not their failures . Now the people choosing not to vaccinate will be at fault for closures . Great political move . Look for Ford to concentrate on vaccination rates .

We had a grand total of 22,001 cases linked to outbreaks from September to December, when things were mainly open. Personal Service Settings like hair salons, nail salons, and massage places, that were all open accounted for a grand total 20 cases. Ontario in the meantime had 144,638 cases of COVID in the province. That's 0.01% of all of Ontario's cases in those 4 months.

Item's 1, 3, 4, 5, 11, 13, 15 are all directly controlled by the Provincial government, while 2 was Ford letting his big business buddies keep their warehouses and big box stores (which were defined as "Workplaces") open while screwing mom and pop shops, restaurants, hair salons etc.

Eliminating the outbreak locations that are managed by the government, and workplaces, it only leaves 2,554 cases. Government inaction at their facilities, and the government's unwillingness to put the brakes on big business, is therefore responsible for 88.4% of the recorded outbreak cases in those 4 months.

Yet, he locked us down at the end of December, and ties in hair cuts, with it's statistically insignificant amount of cases to our reopening at some indeterminate point in the future.

I bet Deca labels has huge orders to fill for the big box stores .

46.3% for long term care and retirement homes . So much for Fords " iron ring " .

Pi$$es me off for sure....

And according to the guidelines, motorsports won't open till the 14th at the earliest...
So much for the track day on the 3rd I just signed up for a couple days ago... gambled and lost. Sigh.

Amusing you say that... there is 1, potentially 2 roundabouts on my way to work.. 2 if I go the long way round...
Unfortunately, 1 is super busy and have almost been pasted there 3 times already...

I wish we had those Honda Cub postie motorcycles here in Canada.. would be more fun than driving a stupid Transit Connect around!! ;-)

Employment contacts that violate individual rights are not enforceable.
Nope. Certain constitutional rights cannot be waived, but employment contracts can contain conditions that both parties agree to that waive rights.

They say a lot of things about employment contracts. Most of it isn't applicable in Canada, but especially Ontario. If an employment contract violates any legislation, regulations, employment standards, or general fair labor practices, the courts won't uphold it. Even the ever so popular restricted covenants such as non-compete clauses get labelled as a "restraint on trade", and are very rarely upheld by any judge in Ontario.

Unless you hired a lawyer to review it before signing, your employer can show they are providing fair additional compensation for any clauses they want you to agree on (which means more then just getting the job), and your non-compete comes with a golden parachute to keep you home. Your contract is worth less then the paper it's printed on once it hits an Ontario judge.
