Vacations and big poppas adventures

In keeping with the theme of this thread, Im planning a trip,
@PacoT how does your esposa feel about you going on vacation aka "work trip" without her? :unsure:

Have been watching quite a few podcasts/interviews of current dating market. Very skewed.

Top %10-15 of men have %80 of women fighting over them and sleeping with them and don't even have to work for it. From a judgemental side- a 6 or 7 out of 10 woman can easily get a 8 or 9 man out of 10 to sleep with them from a dating app, but not commit to them. So now this 6 or 7 out of 10 woman thinks she "deserves/can lock down" a higher status man than she really can, and won't even talk to the guys in her league. This leaves the less attractive men fighting for scraps. Less attractive women have their girlfriends all telling them how beautiful they are, they can get this or that. Not many men have those kinds of conversations with their friends.

Funny street interview I saw, men asking women what they think about lizzo, an extremely overweight obese singer. Of course they all said she's so beautiful, strong woman, etc etc. Then the man says - "You look like lizzo" and then their jaws drop.
 
If your a cubby chaser , that’s cool , however I’ve had enough with the cougars , bring on the kittens !
And bring back some self awareness, it’s great you’re girlfriends tell you to embrace your figure , it’s ok . If I wanna do belly button shots and I need a quart of vodka to fill that cavern ? That’s on you baby. Boomers have standards . Limited standards, but none the less .

Traveling together is good, because you do things that you normally wouldn't.

Easy fix - save up, buy a BMW, drive/ride around and all those 6-10 girls will know you're an 8!

we spent 2 weeks in Newfoundland last year. I would highly recommend a trip out there . Car rentals are crazy expensive but accomodation and resteraunts are OK , and you dont have to try too hard to find "not touristy" stuff to do. Geat hiking and walking trails , and I never get tired of looking at lighthouses.
I find an unusual sense of calm sitting beside a lighhouse , thinking about how many thousands of sailors have all shared the sense of ease when the light comes into view from the horizon and your home safe.

We were trying to book 4 days in Newfoundland next week as a sort of last minute vacation. 7 of us in total.
We could not find a car to accommodate the 7 people or 2 cars. Everything is booked up.
So now we are thinking of what to do locally.

I spoke with someone I know who is originally from NFLD and went back to visit a few weeks ago. He drove this time but next time he will fly and rent a Home Depot van to get around for a few days. It $20 a day and it will most likely be available on the spot.
 
That’s an interesting approach, NFLD if I’m correct has no actual Hertz or Enterprise ect , they are franchise locations and cars are limited , we needed an SUV for 6 with luggage , paid about 3k for two weeks .
Split 3 ways it was ok

We're on a 44 person bus tour. There's also a cruise ship or two. Best to get your accommodations sorted before you go to remote areas. Today is Rocky harbour and fjords.
