Triumph owners unite!

I bit the bullet and picked up the Arrow from GP Bikes this afternoon. They apparently have a sale starting tomorrow - 20% off everything (or something like that). The salesman told me he would just give me the discount a day early. Awesome. Still was $720 ... ouch:p

DAMN, looks like I'll be spending money this weekend! lol

I've heard that the 2006-8 have round headers vs oval headers for 2009+ though. I'd have to verify the pipe will fit my bike before pulling the trigger.

Edit: NEVER MIND, just got off the phone with GP, the slipon is in the mail! HAHAHAHA, oh man, Demon you're a bad bad man

That's a good exhaust and price. Will you be adding a PCIII or something? Don't waste your money on the Triumph map. I loaded it and the bike did not run right. On top of that every time I went for a ride I stuck like a gas station. Put a PCIII and one of their map and she's all better.

Since your earlier post about the SC-Project I tried calling them direct in Italy 9 times and not once did anyone pick up. I think this is going to be a hard exhaust to pick up.

Out of curiosity....anyone here have the tuneboy software + cable for changing maps and maintenance on triumph bikes?

It seems like the package is on sale now for another few days:

http://www.tuneboy.com.au/BuyNow/GroupBuy.html

$399 AUD = about $370 CAD

It lets you change fuel maps (like PC3) and run diagnostics on the bike, do your own throttle body sync (which would probably pay for itself in a couple of years), etc.

Roasted, you should head over to triumph675.net for questions like that. I'm pretty sure there's a tuneboy group buy going on over there as well.

Definitely, for the Triumph and the arrow exhaust the tuneboy is the way to go. If you buy the key for $200 it is much better than the PCIII because the tuneboy allows you to remap the bike the way you want it , the throttle body, it does the speedo healer too which the PCIII will never allow you to do that. Since we remapped the bike with the tuneboy the bike runs 3 times better, I couldn't believe the difference.

Haha. I knew I'd cross paths in one way or another with at least one person from the boards. Getting that plum parking spot right by the doors didn't hurt either. So you saw my bike yet you didn't peel and steal the tank grips? :p

Those levers are great. Too bad the gold colour matches the 06-08 bikes and not 09+. Ah well, I love them anyway.

No new pipe for me. I just can't justify spending 800 (plus another 4 or whatev for a Tuneboy...) on something that doesn't either:

a) Make my bike faster
or
b) Keep me safer

And since the bike is way faster than I'll ever need I think I'm going to take the money I was going to spend on a pipe and buy a 2 piece suit.

I tried on a Joe Rocket GPX 2 piece at GP and the pants fit beautifully but the jacket was made for a normal sized (read: not skinny like me...) guy. Shame too, because 500 bucks is a good deal for that suit.

noticed some comments about tuneboy. its def the way to go. ive got the cable so if anyone wants to borrow it let me know. the software is free, the only thing you need to purchase is the license and the cable. license is based off your serial number for the bike so you cant reuse it.

what is tuneboy? is there anything to my benefit? I ride a daytona 650 from 2005

Just joined the club.

Picked up a 98 Trident 750. Im looking for an owners manual and service manual if anyone has one.

Thanks

well gents, with all this talk about a gp bikes sale, i dropped in today just to look around....

ended up buying some bar end mirrors, bar ends, and a pair of arrow slip ons. i rode over so i took smaller items back with me, exhaust is in the mail. cant wait to put it on.

Congrats! My arrows came in today. I installed them right away. I'll take some pics once all the stuff I ordered comes in and is installed. Got 3 more packages of stuff coming. Lol

for those of you that are looking around for SC Project. they really do have some nice pieces available. i found one supplier int eh GTA that carries them, Simon at Topendz.com.

sc-project looks nice but id prefer for that money if a mid-pipe was included. lots of other options for the same price but offer a larger mid-pipe to get better flow.
