NICE!

I love it with the belly pan and fly screen. I was very close to getting the street triple, but I chose the Daytona instead.

i was debating for a long time between the daytona and the STT. in the end i chose the STT only because of the less aggressive riding position (also why i sold my r6), as i will be using it mainly as a commuter bike (i expect to sit in some traffic).

well i figured this would be the best place to ask.

i just recently purchased a 2009 street triple. i figured i'd do an oil change as soon as i had time (i do it with all vehicles i buy, never know when or what previous owner did or used). so i changed the oil, i poured everything to specs i found online, but i couldnt check the oil after. i cant find my dip stick.:dontknow:

so, as embarrassing as this sounds, can someone here with a street triple or a daytona please tell me where the oil checking dip stick is located on this bike? previous owner never gave me a manual with the bike. but how hard can it be to find.... theres no fairings and everything is open.

*******UPDATE: nevermind, i found it.

at the back bottom right side of the motor.

look below the clutch arm at the bottom of the clutch cover.

your belly pan may be hiding it.

it was, just behind the bellypan, and i never took it off to change the oil, i was able to pull filter and drain oil with it on. thanks.

Well today i went to install my top mount damper, So i had to remove the stock damper thats underneath the headlights out. i went to remove it, and the filthy damn thing was loose. So anyone with a 675 check the mounting bolts. Its the bolt that you can see from the top of the bike thru the triple trees, or whatever there called. Oh ya and i waas hearing a banging noise towards the end of the yr, on my last few rides so i guess thats what it was

Mine is actually loose too, noticed yesterday. I remembered your post when I noticed the issue. So yeah guys, I would check this once in a while as it seems like a common issue. BTW, What top mount damper did you get?

damn, that cant be good at all.

hey guys. i am looking at exhausts for my bike. i really do like the stock exhaust, but i am looking for a deeper exhaust note. not too keen on a shorty low mount system. looking for dual slip on cans.

i like the SC-Project GP EVO

and the Arrow Slip ons

has anyone purchased either of these two exhausts? if so, how do you like it, do you find them excessively loud? and where'd you purchase it from.

thanks,
