Toronto Motorcycle and Powersports Show - Feb 14-16

If the manufacturers don't have an official booth, sometimes a local dealer will step up and bring some of their lineup to the show.

This last show a couple of weeks ago there wasn't an official Ducati booth, but Ducati Toronto did set up a booth and they brought about 10-15 bikes from their inventory available to peruse. Although I don't think they let you sit on some of the high $ models like the Panigale V4.

I don't think they you sit on those at the dealership either.
can sit on a v4 at GP

I wonder if there will be helmets on discount at the show. That is what would compel me to go :P
Otherwise I may go just to look around.
i always see trains of people with lids leaving the show(s)

Looking forward to going. Hope more manufacturers are going to attend. May try custom earplugs. Anyone have an idea of the cost? Can they be made with a speaker installed?
We got ours from Nu-Life hearing. Molds were done at show and we had them in our mail box about two weeks later. The fit and sound quality are awesome. Redneck even got a second pair (plugs only) at the next show just to use for work.

Ryan is awesome. Be sure to tell him your GTAM.

The Hyperstrada version was an exception. Too bad Ducati discontinued it for eating into Multistrada sales. And all it really had over the standard Hyper was luggage and a windscreen.
But did it really eat into MTS sales? Didn't seem to sell at all which is likely the real reason it was axed. I shopped them and wanted to like it but then realized it really wasn't touring comfy or have long range, or good at luggage capacity, so I bought a Multi which did all those things plus could hold a passenger in comfort and was still a riot in the twisties.

Agree with this take.

Kinda fugly too... 🤮 😆

I guess having only ridden sportbikes before getting mine, I thought it was infinitely more comfortable and found myself getting off it at then end of day-long rides feeling like I hadn't gotten my fill of riding yet. Normally I'd be so sore I wouldn't wait to get off. The most I got out of a tank was about 325 kms, but I did run out of gas doing that. Still, getting 300 kms out of a tank on average was letting me ride 50% farther than I ever could before on my other bikes. And maybe the luggage was small compared to a Multi, but they we a hell of a lot better than carrying everything in a backpack. And there was one on each side! So I guess it's all a matter of perspective. I don't know if eating into Multi sales really was the reason, but that's what everyone on the Hyperstrada forums was guessing, because we all loved it so much.

My only gripe was that it lacked power. The looks actually grew on me, but then became ugly again after the 950 was released.

I'll be going to this show and it will make a great Valentine's day gift from my wife to me:)
Looking forward to seeing and sitting on the 2025 Tracer GT, 2025 Suzuki GSXS-1000GTX and some other sport touring bikes. Need a new lid for her and looking at a new one for me.

I also didn't spend enough time at the custom earplugs booth during the last show, so need to do that at this one.

I'm always down for some food.... is there a GTAM dinner after this show?

Wouldn't mind checking out this show again
Interested in seeing and sitting on some new bikes and also browsing some gear
In the market for a new lid as well

Just a few of the great things you’ll see at the Toronto Motorcycle and Powersport Show
  1. BMW Corporate booth returning to the show
  2. Apex Cycles – Representing Indian
  3. CanAM Electric Motorcycles
  4. Stacyc + Yamaha Riding Academy for the kids
  5. Moto Intro (learn to ride with Canada Safety Council)
  6. Highway Heathens Stunt Show
Royal Enfield North America announced today they will be in official attendance.

Finally- a week when I am going to be at GTA! I want to check out the 2025 Rebel 1100T and BMW R12.
I am also interested to see Royal Enfield newest offerings, (My undergrad ride was a RE 500, so a bit of nostalgia attached to it)

Cost is $80-$100 for standards plugs.
You can also have them done for this price any other day locally. (Newmarket)

If you want speakers in them, they will need to take mold of your ear and send them away. Cost is probably $300 and above.
That's an incredible deal it that was a recent purchase, I paid $160 at the show in January Hearing Protection Ontario.

Lost my last pair when I rode off with them sitting on the side case after a photo stop.

My quoted price was NOT at the show. However, you can have them done locally for approx $100.

I intentionally got my bright colors in case I drop it. Less likely it will blend in with the ground.
I even went as far as the right being hot pink and the left being bright yellow.

Where might be places to get the plugs (with speakers) done locally if you cannot make the show?
Big Ear, Peter T. can help you. I believe @oioioi may have his work #

I'm also thinking of getting a set of custom filtered earplugs done at the show. I see that Big Ear (mentioned above) and Hearing Protection Ontario (also mentioned above) will both be there.

Anyone have any feedback on one of those vs the other? or custom filtered earplugs in general? Foam I find annoying to use and the reusable ones I have now (Earpeace) are kind of finicky in terms of getting them to consistently seat properly i.e. I have to be very specific about how I put them in if I want them to seal correctly.

Planning to go and hopefully snag a new helmet. In the end it's just nice seeing and talking to everyone. Plus nephew want to check out the new R7.
