Toronto Motorcycle and Powersports Show - Feb 14-16

@Lightcycle you don't qualify ;)

Fine.

I'm currently working on enabling this feature for the board:

Hoping to take my son to this bike show as timing didnt allow it last time.

Of course I want to visit the GTAM booth... Cause why not .

I want to take a better look at the BMW F900GS.

I think that my next bike. Need to start saving my pennies.

Not sure what I will spend money on.

I spent $15 on a dog bone at the last bike show. 🥴

Is that related to that grotesque accident that you got into a few years ago, which left you unable to ride motorcycles for quite a while...?

What was it again?

Finger got stuck in a ring...?
YES. Still recovering from said accident.

I keep going in for a check up but the doc says I'm not fully healed yet. It an annual check up. I may have to change doctors.

I would like to see Ducati back at the show, to really see how uncomfortable it is sitting in an SFV2, and the SS950. However, as far as their website shows, Ducati will not be there this year as again.

Other bikes that have my attention are the Tiger Sport 800 as I want to know the difference compared to the 660, the KTM 890 SMT, and the Mandello V100.

If the manufacturers don't have an official booth, sometimes a local dealer will step up and bring some of their lineup to the show.

This last show a couple of weeks ago there wasn't an official Ducati booth, but Ducati Toronto did set up a booth and they brought about 10-15 bikes from their inventory available to peruse. Although I don't think they let you sit on some of the high $ models like the Panigale V4.

I don't think they you sit on those at the dealership either.

I wouldn't mind seeing a Hypermotard 698 in person. Haven't seen one out in the wild yet.

Neither have I.

Hypers are funny beasts. They're not typically a rider's primary bike. More of a second... or third motorcycle in their garage. The 698 more so than the 950, I suspect.

I'm waiting for my local dealer to get some 2025 698s in stock, so that they turn the 2024 RVE that's currently sitting on the showroom floor into a demo unit. They look super-fun!

Looking forward to this one, been ages since the last attandance. Seems this one is more organized and well staffed.

Been wanting to look at many small displacement bikes and the R9 in one go, this is probably the best chance.

Any deal on stuff is always a reason to part with my jar of toonies (y)

I will probably attend this one.....

Thinking about having some earplugs made while I am down there.

The Hyperstrada version was an exception. Too bad Ducati discontinued it for eating into Multistrada sales. And all it really had over the standard Hyper was luggage and a windscreen.

Great way to spend Family Day weekend... surrounded by bikes!

GTAM will be at the February Show AND we've got 3 sets of tickets to give away.

What new bikes are you hoping to get the change to sit on, feel the weight of, part with your money for?
Interested in the Honda NT1100.

Disappointed that BMW, Ducati and Kawasaki aren't there, and surprised that CF-Moto isn't there since they're trying to establish a presence here.

Looking forward to going. Hope more manufacturers are going to attend. May try custom earplugs. Anyone have an idea of the cost? Can they be made with a speaker installed?

Cost is $80-$100 for standards plugs.
You can also have them done for this price any other day locally. (Newmarket)

If you want speakers in them, they will need to take mold of your ear and send them away. Cost is probably $300 and above.

I wonder if there will be helmets on discount at the show. That is what would compel me to go :P
Otherwise I may go just to look around.
