TMP Labour Day Weekend

Great shots! I like how you did that. Thanks so much!
Nice garage! How you like the 750 on track? once mine gets older it will eventually become a track only bike.

When I rode her bike at TMP earlier this year I loved it! Very nice bike. I was immediately comfortable on it.

Gsxxy is a great track bike! I rode her on the street for 5 years first. She is track only now. Such a great bike I couldn't sell her :)

A question for you types who track well into late summer, early fall...

When the temps start to drop into the low 20s, high teens and presumably the surface temps are in the high 20s at best, how do you find the lap times suffer...especially with the tire heat discussion raging earlier?

I really have only kept my track days to mid 20s temps and up, and if even in those conditions tires are never at optimum performance temps, I am just wondering about cold tearing and grip if temps are say air 15C to 20C.

Holy moly. Don't you get it by now? It all depends on the track, the tire, the suspension, the rider skill, the bike yaddah yaddah yaddah................

Same track, same suspension, same rider, same bike. Potentially same tire.

Yes I get that. Maybe I wasn't clear. With regard to TMP (typically a low heat, slippery, bumpy track) how do you find your lap times drop off in late September?

We did a practice weekend in early May and a Race round a couple of weeks later and it was freezing. Literally there was frost on the track at 8am.

In my experience there was no cold tearing but i would warm my tires properly before going out, and during the practice weekend I was never out more than 6 or 7 laps. During race weekend I don't think the times suffered, I was going all balls out at least, not sure others, no problem with grip however if this was just a track day, my times would have been way slower, they always are (cold day or hot day)

You wern't clear.

And you're asking the wrong person (in me) about TMP.

How is TMP typically a low heat, slippery, bumpy track ?? wtf are you talking about?
I never have traction problems, there's only bumps on the track if your off line, and my tires get trashed when I go there.
