Thursday Aug 8 TMP?

Sorry to hear dude, crashing sucks. :( At least you didn't break anything and continued to ride, how bad is the bike?

Thanks. Bike is more than fine. Some damage to the fairings, broken windshield (I have a spare), but nothing really major. I was up on my feet and lapping couple of hours later (took the body off to check everything for damage, I found none).

Traction. LOL I don't know how Q2's will behave, but could be a good thing.
Q3s are cheap ! Mine were behaving nicely, though I don't have anywhere near the pace..

The Penske gets serviced every 10 track days or so, and I change the oil in the forks approximately that often as well.

A touch overkill, eh? I have my stock shock and stock forks that were refreshed the beginning of the year. And I'm running the same times as you.

A few weeks ago I did a day on a brand new set of Q3 at TMP, without warmers. 31 front / 29 rear, cold pressure. Excellent traction at 1:24 pace at TMP. I only sold them because I don't know how they'd be if I ever manage to start going faster.

Not really. The shock starts to leak oil around the seal and the rebound detents get gummed up so you can't feel the clicks. It really does need servicing. The forks not so much but hey, it's a long winter!

It's nice to never have to question if your suspension is working properly.

It was a good day as I came home in one piece, but I showed up tired and them sweat my ass off for the next 9hours.
Humidity came back full force yesterday.

Just too damn tired to push it. But after checking video tonight I should find that I did fastest laps ever. Kept my speed up into and through the corners. Unfortunately I'm still thinking with my head too much and not getting the juice on early enough.

Played with suspension, rear is great.
Front I definitely need springs.

Track has more bumps than a Braille dictionary.
LMAO.. my tired, stock suspension soaked them up like fondue dipped bread

Guess I won't be upgrading to a penske. lol

Green (yellow) was good 1-5pm after 5 was crappy as riders passed anywhere they felt like it. Was all ready into my lean into corner 3 got passed by 2 riders on inside almost causing me to go into grass. They were quick on straights but after they pulled that move I was right behind them into next corner. That riding is un called for in green thus the reason only passing on straights as there were at least 4 new riders I saw marked with green X and I gave them plenty of space as that's what you do. Had I got wiped out by one of those guys passing against stated rules wouldn't have been a good day for one of them.

The Vintage group really F***ed up the groups. I had to run in Red after 5pm and I still passed people. (I consider myself a slow intermediate)

I think they had a different sense of what is novice, intermediate and fast.

Also saw a rider wearing shorty gloves another with short boots so I guess they don't follow many rules anymore. One of the riders that cut my off was one the Vintage group yet proves age doesn't always brains or common sense. I would have thought they would like to keep those bikes in one piece and not take out others but no so.

You could see the guys skin! Short shoes and short socks with mesh pants and jacket. Awesome.

Also Mr. 35x who decided to come onto the track as I'm blasting around 11/12.
If I hadn't seen him as early as I did he would have gotten plow'd into the hay-bails by my left foot.

He was black flagged when he came around 2-2.5min later.

I didn't ride in your group, but as far as I remember the stated rules for all groups were "pass anywhere if you think it's safe, unless the rider has an X on the back". Maybe you forgot to put your X?

^^^ +1 I should download and process some video from Intermediate later today or the weekend for everyone to see what he's talking about, it was unreal. People can't run 1:55 (not a mistake!) laps and sign up for Intermediate.

Haha.. or how about the the guy who exited the track through the grass between turn 11 & 12---I guess he either decided he doesn't feel like having another lap, or forgot where the exit is
