Thursday Aug 8 TMP?

I made it out for the 5pm to dusk run after a long day at work. I felt like I really made some strides with my body positioning and i'm happy I came out in the end and atleast had a fun evening. The ride home was not so fun, I got drenched but oh well, it happens. Thanks Corsara, and others who have given me adviced on positioning for the tips on here, they were really helpful. I got my knee down for the first time so I was really excited and happy with that.

Always good to see another Niagarian(?) out at the track.
That was a crazy rain storm glad you made it back ok.
FYI - Uhaul moto trailer is 16.78$ for 24hrs.

Cheers

With all the not so quick people in intermediate. Guys like corsara and your bud had no choice but to run in red.
And some of us were turning 1:21s so didn't lap everyone in 5 laps. Good luck next weekend:)

What bike where you on?
Gixxer...?
Colour?

Thanks, Cheers. Yeah I actually don't have a G license so in order for me to get a lift I have to rely on my father or a good friend, and I got off work at 3 and came home checked out the radar and said ah looks good, and it was really nice. But yeah u haul is cheap for sure, I think if I have more time to plan things in the future i'll bring out a proper set up. Was a great time for sure though.

I'm the guy that gave corsara the motor mount bolt. Did you see the guy that got pinned under his bike?

I figured just wanted to make sure. Lol

That was awesome. Made Corsaras day for sure.

Thanks for letting me follow you on your "warm up" laps. Kinda lost you after that. Lol
Knowing you had the exact same bike/gearing it really Made me realize that I am not powering out of the corners near enough.
Probably got 40lbs on ya but I don't think I can use that as an excuse. Lol

He was jammed up against my trailer! He was lucky, could have been way worse

You looked good out there man, I seen what your talking about in turn 12, you kind of lost traction a couple times eh but ah you were cruising for sure. The storm was not so bad really. Usually I get caught out a lot in this kind of weather as its my commuter so i'm really used to riding in that kind of weather. I always find rain at night amplified because of people using high beams it makes it annoying to drive past oncoming traffic. I really want to get my 7r out the by 22nd or 24th of august though but my dads busy, friends are away the plan doesn't work to well without a g license lol, I need to grow up hahaha. hopefully I can get it out there 2-3 times by the time winterization is required(antifreeze etc). I hope they finish the construction on Highway 3 soon as well.

Oh lol, it's great to put a face to a nickname. Thanks again for saving my day! It was nice meeting ya!

Lol, yeah, the guy got pinned loading the bike, but didn't let go of the beer, haha (EDIT: or I might have misheard... it's good he was ok though)

That was my first time on a track in a year and a week. I was beat. Wish you were there before the madness, could have tried drafting ya. You're pass on me was the nicest I have ever had at tmp. Sorry to fiery 254 for putting my front tire beside his head!

Nice to meet you too. Its seems your crash might have been my fault. Every time I go to tmp the person beside me crashes. I was hoping I left enough space between us. Then sfer pulled in I thought oh no now he is going to crash. But he was saved by the guy that pulled between us, and then got crushed by his bike. I swear its a curse.

The scuff mark buffed right out, don't worry about it. Next time I will give you a lecture via the internet about your hooligan riding.:lmao:

Well, I finally looked at a bit of video last night.

I was running 1:30 through traffic a few laps earlier in the day, when I was trying to follow Corsara. I need to work on my passing, I don't commit and then I get stuck behind a couple people till I get to one of my comfortable corners.
Anywho...
Video is from the last session of the day. I was definitely tired by then, plus my visor kept fogging up(anyone else get that?) You'll see a bunch of missed Apexes but considering I had been sweating for 9 hours straight and my brain and body were fried, I did manage to do 1:28 -1:29 which is surprising since I felt absolutely wasted.
Kinda wish there hadn't been so much traffic the few sessions previous while I was still kinda fresh.

Gotta get on the power earlier for sure

Next time I'll try to show up rested and I might actually piece a whole lap together perfectly.

4th track-day, 2nd on the gixxer.
New brake pads and rotors(glazed stock set last track-day)
Different suspension set-up(better but still need front springs)
Stomp grip
16t front sprocket (way better)
Check out this video on YouTube:

I'll let the more experienced comment, but IMHO of a novice, you lose tons of time in braking way too early, not giving it juice on exit, which is probably evident from the not so frequent gear changes too. On the positive side, your lines look (to me) very nice and good, and you seem smooth. I enjoyed the video, thanks for sharing!
