There is something amusing about the cops not doing something in the first place then going after the viliganties that only stepped in after they did nothing.

I hope the police learn something from this incident, although not a guarantee I believe if they had charged the alleged scammer at the scene for backing up on the highway under the HTA, maybe also checked his lights etc. and laid the appropriate (if any) charges for that then this would not have gotten so blown out of proportion. They of course should have maybe even dug deeper into his past dealings.
In short, if the officer that responded to the scene did his job, maybe none of the vigilantism would be happening now, or at the very minimum the perpetrators would not feel as justified in their actions.
They have no problem laying charges for all kinds of things but not for something that seems pretty serious in any context (reversing on the highway causing an accident, and possibly doing it as part of a scam/on purpose).

When their purposeful inactivity pushes people to take matters into their own hands, maybe so.
Yes anarchy is a wonderful thing.
However damming you consider that video evidence Ragu is still innocent until proven guilty.
The ragu Witch hunt, the only ones that are going to get charged in this case are the "people taking matters into their own hands"
Ragu has never refuted this. If Sham had made it up, wouldn't Ragu have said something?
Ask yourself, if Ragu had been charged with causing the accident (putting aside for now whether the charge could be justified), would the public reaction have been the same? Of course not. Guy causes accident, gets charged. Big whoop, justice has been served.
But the feeling is that this guy got away with it, perhaps he's been getting away with it for a while. Justice needs to be served. BIG difference, and in fact all it would have taken was for the cop to look at the video.

Never saw that one on RFD or 4chan. Man, news outlets are failing miserably with this story.
Meh if only this much attention was put towards the real scammers of ontario, a.k.a the politicians/government.

one thing i did notice on his car now is that the plates are offset compared to when he took the pictures on facebook. maybe he pulled a scam in a parking lot causing him to remount his plates?
He installed a new license plate but 4chan already spotted and posted it before the thread was gone.
what sort of crap reporting is this portraying the scammer as a victim. Why don't they ask Sham? Why don't they ask the scammer how he managed to rack up 26 HTA tickets in 4 years no matter what they are and why his brake lights and reverse lights were off? And how can you be distracted just after stopping on a busy highway? How many standard drivers get distracted while driving lol.
