An update on the uploader's YouTube channel:

"Thanks for viewing the clip of the Toronto 401 accident. Since it is in the investigation process by the officials, I have to pull it down for a while and hopefully all of the drivers are alerted and protect your rights. Glad that most of you have bought a dash cam. I'll update you guys soon."

Not likely; thread probably got too old and dropped off. 4chan has a set number of postings per subgroup, as new posts are added old ones drop off. Posting a reply to a post will bump it back up to the top so it's only the posts that have not had recent replies that get deleted.

BTW, nice to see Ragu catching 4chan's attention; anon will do a good job. I checked his profile out on LinkedIn, he's only one link away from me, yuck - small world...

anon isn't directly related to 4chan. anon is a group of script kiddies and hackers. if ragu had a business website it would have been down by now though, with something like "owned by the chinese" written on it lol

Some fun tidbits from the article:

OPP’s Highway Safety Division announced Friday they are investigating the original collision, and have asked witnesses to come forward.

Why do they need witnesses if they have video proof?

Yogarajah says that because his car is a manual, it accidentally rolled backwards while he was distracted. He says he didn’t realize he caused the fender-bender until he later saw the video, and takes full responsibility what he says was a mistake.

He didn't realize he caused the accident, yet he demanded $500 on the spot.

Regarding the postering, Yogarajah says he’s particularly concerned about his siblings’ young children. “If the kids see something like that, I don’t know how scared they’re going to be.

Won't somebody please think of the children?

how does these poster differ from door to door advertisements?

Still a Honda Acura.

Why do they need witnesses if they have video proof? - It helps verify that the video has not been edited, someone watching from the side may also get a better idea of how fast the car was moving backward than the video, by virtue of the angle... Lastly its just standard practice

He didn't realize he caused the accident, yet he demanded $500 on the spot. - We don't know that from the video.

That last is the one thing, that I steadfastly hold. Little word balloons don't equate to proof. Sure, it appears that the brake lights never came on. That's evident from the video. I certainly agree with you, though, that we don't know anything about what was said between the two.

Exactly, while I don't really doubt the dash cam driver's story (I see very little motive for him to lie). the video evidence isn't evidence of his demand... The evidence of that is going to be the cameraman's testimony (and thats really the key point of it all).

cbc just aired the story

I'm not an audio expert but I can faintly hear them talking. Would an audio specialist be able to isolate their talking conversation by removing all the surrounding noises?
