The "Official" Watch Thread and all Things Horological

Time to throw it away. I'll keep it safe for him so he isn't exposed to such horrors again.

***OCD triggered***

Your bezel is off one click.
At least it's off the easy side. If it's at :59, you have to endure the unbearable agony of spinning it all the way around. And if you're like me, you'll get distracted and spin it right back to :59 again and have to keep going...

A buddy recently bought a Tudor GMT with a steel 24-hr bezel. Broke my brain that it didn't rotate. I'd never say this to him, but it's not Tudor's finest design...

But the clicky clicky is part of the joy of owning such a watch. Much nicer to the watch to play with the bezel than to play with the crown.

My Tudor bezel spins , and this baby is 100% on 12 oclock. A non turning bezel would drive me bananas .

Yet I have never set the date on any watch I’ve owned . Ever. They all all wrong , all the time . That’s my idea of rebel behaviour.

It's this one. Hopefully nobody here has one and loves it (eye of the beholder, etc), but I don't think it's Tudor's finest work. Indices are oddly sized, the yellow 24-hr hand is ugly, the hour, seconds and 24-hr hands look too alike, and I have a personal strong dislike of steel bezels, as they always look cheap to me...

Alright, which one of you ballers is gonna be first to own one of these horological masterpieces? I'd have sent my money already, but there's no guarantee I'd have it in time to wear at the next insurrection.

I was laughing at this yesterday with a buddy, having a good old go at the lack of class in the base for Trump and how their devotion to their glorious leader has blinded them to even the most obvious of scams. We were feeling very superior.

The sinister side of it didn't even cross my mind, now I'm not laughing so hard.

PS - there is also an NH35 powered $500 one for the peons that is so mall watch it hurts. It's a $100 watch at best, so that one actually is the grift I was feeling smug about above. Here's a pic of your classy options:

Is Trump associated with any of these or are they stealing his name? If he is associated, is this a fancy way around campaign finance laws? You aren't donating, you are purchasing a piece of horological history.

They are, sadly, very real. And as the Tweets posted by @FullMotoJacket above illustrate, they are very likely to be finance law cheats (or, at least, that's to go along with the buttlickers who are desperate for his attention). You can pay in BitCoin, and they're dropshipped pieces of junk straight off AliExpress with no guarantee of delivery. You have to hand it to him, there is no con transparent enough...

I was at the mall today so I stopped at Moments to check them out. Buddy was bending over backwards trying to get a Tissot Sideral S reissue on my wrist.

Sounds like you got the same treatment as me when I was admiring a Longines Big Eye. He kept lowering and lowering the price and wouldn't let me walk out to the point where the price was low enough to have me seriously tempted. I checked after, and his price was lower than anyone online by about $200, including the grey market shops like Jomashop and Ashford, and was getting close to what used ones are selling for on places like WatchUSeek...

Don’t know how much value or anything at all

Picked this up a few yrs ago at a garage sale, thought it looked unique.

I’ve put a crappy amazon strap on it and of course it doesn’t fit
